There's multiple failings to point out for the winner, but Tanganga has to take the majority of the blame.
Pompey lad on the far right of frame is about to lay the ball off to the full back. Here, you see Tanganga is close to Adams. There's a man behind him but he has McGuinness between that lad and the ball so there's no concern.
The ball is now with the man wide right. Tanganga has dropped off of Adams and picked up the forward. Nobody has made a move toward Adams, so it doesn't seem like JT has shouted for anyone to take up the marking on him. Still, the ball needs to pass 6 white shirts to reach him, so it's not too bad.
Final shot. Ball is on its way to Adams. JT has not only allowed the man he was marking to get goal side (only let off on this is that McGuinness is covering), but he's even further from Adams than he was before. Donovan has a man outside him, so he's stuck trying to cover 2 players on his own. Peck has clearly never had a shout to pick Adams up because he's still a good 10 yards away. Adams has ended up with at least 6 yards of space from anyone in a white shirt, and he achieved it by doing fuck all. He's move maybe 5 yards total from the 1st image to the third.
Does anyone in our team talk to each other at all? Especially Tanganga since he's meant to be the bloody captain. If he says anything to Peck or McGuinness at anytime in the build up, they don't score that goal.
