Seriously what the fuck is going on? None of what has been happening since the end of the season could be seen as positive so it couldn’t. There is seemingly no plan, no idea, absolutely no engagement with the fans about what is going on, selling a star player to fucking Norwich who are another Championship club, no transfer activity, It’s all very odd so it is. I think I’ve accepted we have dud owners so we have.

Star player? Lol.

Oh yeah you're right actually.

It's not as if he was Players Player of The Season and Young Player of The Season.

"Andre Brooks combines Sheffield United’s highest progressive carry distance with the most carries ending in chances, underlining his importance as the side’s primary ball-carrying threat. It’s a unique skillset, a physical thing. And we’d miss that a lot if he were to leave."

(copied and pasted from The Pinch)

As I said on the other thread, our owners don't have the money required, so have been seeking investment from others, and they thought others would be willing to jump on board. They aren't. 2 have taken a look at the books/situation now and walked away.

It's not for financial reasons, but down to our owners having no fucking clue.

You don't like football or Sheffield United
So what are you going on about ?
You really are a special kind of simple .

It wasn't made any secret that with our wage bill, expenditure last season and failure to be promoted thus losing last parachutes.
We needed to make savings and raise money with sales.

I was surprised to see Brooks go to Norwich and initially thought the fee was on the low side. However take a step back and think whilst he was good for us last season.
He still needs to add to a few areas of his game and this is why no prem clubs offered the same fee for him right now.

Norwich have raised alot in sales too so there budget is very high for a non parachute team.

We won't know what to think until more signings are made and we see who else departs. As there will be some more.

Then as for this winding up order. Again hard to tell what to think there. It isnt of the club. But it could have consequences if not rectified.

Hmmm what should I do today?

I know, I'll start a discussion on a social media site about a sport I'm not interested in anymore.

So I shall.

Why would we need to make savings and raise money? The parachute money from the PL season, as I keep saying, is intended to cover wages for players you bring in to try to be competitive in the PL. Every single one of those has left the club already, most for a profit, except Hamer (who is probably going soon) and Grbic, and the players we did bring in were funded by selling our two best players anyway. There is NO shortfall from the loss of parachute payments, we have already done the job of reverting to a standard Championship operating budget (which, yes, is a loss making adventure, but that is the same for all clubs)
