Currently 60:40 split. That is interestingly huge considering it was probably only about 35-40% for Adkins.

Can’t blame Chris! It’s the little boys who arent playing for him! That’s what it was Tonight Men with passion playing boys with none!! 😳😳
Fucking hell.

Who signed them?
Whose job is it to fire them up?
Who picks the team and the tactics?

I sincerely hope you’re not in any kind of a leadership role with an attitude like that.

Out for me.

The only reason for him staying is that he MIGHT get us back up next year but there’s no guarantees with that. If he continues to waste money at the rate he has been without reward then there’s only one way we’re going and it’s not up.

I’m not sure anyone on here can say with any certainty that he would get us straight back up. Not the way this season has gone.
Can’t see the point of that. He clearly can’t cut it at this level so why build another squad around a manager and system that will just see us relegated again?

It's all good and well crying for Wilder's head, but who the fuck do we think we're gonna get to replace him? Who is out there that is a better manager than Wilder, and would could come to United in our current state? Cannot think of 1 suitable, willing alternative.

Slavan Bilic for me if he goes

OUT. I don't give two fucks how good the "Messiah" has been. I still believe in the old adage that no-one is bigger than the club.
We're down but beating Derby's record will live with the club long after CW and everyone on here is gone.
And no, I have no idea who should replace him but I don't have to know how to repair something to recognise that it's broken. That's someone else's job.

But you've answered your own question as to why he stays - there is no one else for us, as has been seen over many a decade.

We should learn that knee jerk reactions simply do not work for united

UTB
Yea some of us remember Jimmy Sirell

There's just no point getting anybody else in now. We're down, and no bugger would turn this round, so give CWAK the chance to work on promotion from the champ.

I agree with this view and that is why I am voting IN. Although, time is running out and all looks lost you never know.........

HH

Now that is very true - but his record outside the top division is exemplary - so should be given the opportunity to go back to some basic champ player and see if he can build another team.

UTB
Simple. Give CW a holiday for 6 months. Put Billy in charge, or his wife, whoever wants the job for 6 months. Wilder can recharge batteries and be ready to go for promotion push next season.

I'm not voting on this again. Christ we are like that Scottish prat Sturgeon always wanting a vote until she gets the result she wants.
Get the system altered that's the worst display of appalling lack of any thrust or putting the opposition through any danger I have seen. Ramsdale ( good game by the way ) was a passenger the second half watching it all. Wouldn't have blamed him if he had fallen asleep.

IN, by a country mile.

edit: but I think he'll walk if we're still on 2 or 3 points in a few weeks

In - his record outside the top division is exemplary - he deserves another chance to create a 2nd Blades team capable of playing in the prem - BUT to learn from his mistakes

Having the players isn’t the only issue. If the manager isn’t good enough to compete tactically you could fill the side with internationals and still be shite.

Got a feeling tonight was his last game.
I said this to my Mrs before the game. If we don’t get anything it wouldn’t surprise me if he either walked or was pushed, and we got someone from Belgium in to replace him.

To me it's about having a bit of pride in our football club, keeping Wilder is just waiving the white flag and accepting our fate as the club with the worst season in football league history.

I don't care if a new manager lost every match until the end of the season, it's pretty much nailed on that Wilder will do that anyway. We've got nothing to lose at this point.

Don’t want to sack him. If he walks then fair enough if he feels he can’t do any more.

Personal abuse is against forum rules, infraction given.

Who the fuk are you! Pep Guardiala! Prick!!

I’m sure there are plenty who would love the job on the terms that relegation is expected and they are guaranteed the job next season and a budget to spend in the summer

his general record all over the divisions has been demonstrably very good - even last year.

this year found wanting - for me he deserves to be allowed to create another team and to learn from those mistakes - OR the club is sold to people who can fund us better.

UTB

Only way Wilder isn’t in charge at any point this season is if he walks.
Princey already stated that he won’t be sacked even if we go down

I've been a staunch defender of Wilder and on balance probably remain so. He's dragged this club out of the mire and given us fans some of the best days we will likely have in some of our life times.

Think he deserves a crack of the whip even if we go down on current form, but christ he'd have to hit the ground running. Maybe this is sentiment over loyalty....

However any hint of a hangover and it possibly becomes for the good of the club to make a change. Its with a heavy heart I write this

That being said its getting harder and harder each week to see things changing for the better. We look devoid of ideas, lack any sort of tactical nous or plan B, are showing no signs of improvement and both players and manager look beat.

Sadly think even the most optimistic and faithful of fans will slowly ebb along the continuum of in to out, and possibly his position will become untenable.
