I've tried to pick out constructive dissenters and Ignore the haters and the miserati. There is a danger of only hearing one side but ask yourself how often the person you're considering Ignoring has posted something that adds to the debate, and take it from there.

I'd pick out alcoblade as an example of someone I often disagree with but who clearly has high standards for the club, and has taught me a thing or two :)

UTMB

Thant's nowt to crow on abart - Alco often disagrees with himself :o

This isn't pathetic or babyish.

It's never good to encourage the "I can't accept a difference in opinion" clique.

Oh, and I'm a thread hijacker now...what ever will it be next week? I await with excitement.

Give me strength.

It is a well known fact William Henry Foulkes talks mostly to himself and a few more club apologist's, fookin glad I'm part of the miserati and can see things with an open mind ................................... McCabe apart that is ;)

Long Live Them..

The Barney's of the forums.

What would you do if you had to deal with a real-life Barney?

Ignore Button? Ya must be still on the tit.

You can't be far off the tit yourself, with the way you are playing up to your parody of attempting to be like the 1970s version of Harry Styles, by being deliberately confrontational.

Thought a man with a PHD in Arctic Studies would have the intelligence to be able to post a little more intelligently

This is the real deal.
No parody here.
What is it with your infatuation of Harry Styles and One Direction?
Your head needs wobbling lad, deliberately confrontational? Me?
What you like in real life, on the streets if an avatar and a forum name upsets you so much?

BOO!

I want you to fly this thread to other football and sport. No funny business, this gun is loaded.

He says Blade in his2012 book, Brazil.

Don't like Brazil. Dangerous place. Great footballers.

I prefer Argentina. Lovely people, and the steaks are outstanding.

pommpey

Stop frightening people :(

I quite like the Barney threads. Somewhere along the line they always turn into either a tortured defence of the indefensible, or something close to full-on psychedelia. There's some great belly laughs at times, and some properly whacked-out plot twists. Posters who dismiss Barney as a wind up merchant or troll are underrating the man's considerable abilities as an artist.

Personally, for around a million reasons, I'd submit his etchings on here for the Turner Prize.

Sometimes it's as if it's two people posting though. You get a coherent post - even if you don't agree - and an analysis of what he's thinking and then at other times its batshit mental statements that if were written down on paper would be in multi coloured crayon that defy all logic.

I know. It's smart ! It's like Joyce or Faulkner. Or very early Pink Floyd. Or a particularly memorable Hawkwind gig I went to in 1983.

For all the narcissism and insecurity, there's the odd absolute LOL moment, albeit unintentional, that almost makes it all worthwhile. He's harmless.
