I don't think Tonge would give us anything new, or bring anything that would help us beat relegation. As I said before, a last resort-but I think I'd rather stick to some of the guys we already have. Another over paid, non performer is not what we need now.

Homesickness in a country which takes 4 hours to get anywhere is not really an excuse, particularly if you're being paid enough to make the journey whenever you want. They didn't want to play for us and as such, can jog on.

4 hour drive to go home to see your wife and kids. Everyday of the year. Drive home, have tea, go to bed, get up at 6am to be at training for 10am.

If you can't see that then you've got some kind of tinted glasses on. If their families had wanted to move to Sheffield then they would still be playing for us.

In reality, if we're going for a workmanlike midfield, as it seems we are, then the need for pace out wide is surely a priority. Tonge never had pace.
