This or Crawley?

It's worth having some perspective here.

Would you rather have this or a draw at Crawley during the 5th year in League One?
Saying stuff like this is ridiculous. We are now in the Prem because we deserved to get there. Fuck what went before. You have to perform to the level you're at. Pathetic mentality. Let just be happy with being shit shall we?

I don’t even think it is anymore mate. Not only is there enough threads saying the same thing, but how long do we keep saying ‘oooh perspective’ before we’re allowed to acknowledge that we are bottom of the league with 4 goals and 1 point.

No arguments hear pal. There is never any point in looking backwards and right now we are in a desperate position, no two ways about it. It's just bloody infuriating how many chances we are missing. A few fine margins go our way and we could be much better off.

Yeah it Hurts.. Wasn't the managers fault... Im out to bat for the gaffer.. He must be fucking pulling his pubes out

Me too, fully in support of the gaffer. It's almost starting to seem like weird curse now, certainly Wilder's biggest challenge so far. I'm resigned to relegation I think but hope he's still in charge to lead the promotion campaign. On the face of it we've recruited well for that scenario.

In terms of recruitment for staying at the top level (next time round 🤞) I'm hoping we can get savvy on the overseas markets. Watching Raphinha in the Leeds game earlier I was impressed at what you can get for £17m if you shop abroad.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s a time and a place for the perspective argument but let’s be honest, it’s not going over the top to say this is an abysmal start to the season.

I even agree that there’s been an element of bad luck but even that has a limit before we start having to ask questions.

Where do you draw the line? Do we stop referring to league one after 5,10,15 years of being out of it?

I can’t recall us ever been ok being in League One, because we had been in the PL 4 years prior; which is the inverse of your argument.

Thing is, we're not on a day trip, this is our league now. Expecting us to not be absolutely shite in it isn't denigrating the memory of the pain and hard work it took to get here.

It's a simple question. Which one would you rather have right now?

It's not a choice to be made. We are where we are and we need to be better.

If we get relegated the last few years don't get deleted.

"Look at how far we've come" is something Wilder himself isn't interested in. It's all the here and now.

Doesn't mean I want Wilder to go anywhere, best manager we've ever had.

I just want some pragmatism, we just don't have the players to keep slogging away with the same formation, just like we didn't have the players for a decent 442 in league one.

It's a choice being posed to you. I note no one else is choosing to answer so don't take this personally.

In truth, no one would rather the Crawley option so let's lift our heads a little tonight.

Times are tough but they've been tougher. I'd rather be here than there and I believe things could (I won't say will) turn around.

Mindset is what lead to last season's results. Positivity in this forum does reach the staff and players and I hope we can influence things for the better.

Time machine Blades ey? I'd rather go back to last season before lockdown.

I'm a positive Blade, which is a rare trait among us, but you'd have to be in Noel Edmonds cosmic positivity circle to feel good about our prospects tonight.

Just gone 5 points behind West Brom, and Fulham and Burnley have a game in hand on us and are 3 and 4 points better off already respectively.
