This club has a massive decision to make

Adkins has been allowed to bring in 1 player that commanded a fee (Sharpe) and he has def improved our forward line.

1 free agent

4 loan players - which while commanding a loan fee and % of wages paid - require no long term commitment from the club (there's a reason they are available on loan)

It's obvious that Adkins has been given no money to build a team.

I'm all for holding someone accountable but only when the conditions are right to be held accountable.

Oh and the team that made the play-offs last year were miles away from anything above them. Swindon put 7 past us over two legs and then were played off the park 4-0 by Preston.

I suspect that when Adkins took this job on he and the board agreed that whilst giving it a go this year, it would in fact be one of sorting the shit out and clearing the way to re-build a whole new squad in the summer.

Hence the meagre status of our signings.
Looking at the players who came in, including his pet, they're sticking plasters to make the numbers up..no long term planning is there?

Fans are however going to judge him on these signings/attempted signing and one does wonder, whether Adkins sets his sights too high....or is it all just a cunning plan to procrastinate?

If they drop they drop what I hoping is that people don't just turn into part timers who don't come back until were in the championship and can't be bothered to support us thru another season in league 1

To be honest loyalblade, I haven't been for the last two home games and don't intend to until next season. The standard of football served up has been dreadful, however I could stomach that, what finally did for me was the lack of activity in the January transfer window. Withholding my money is the only protest I can think of. If we had have signed someone in the JTW and they had turned out to be the usual bag of shite, I would still be attending as at least the club would have been showing some intent. I will be back next season come what may. I'm sick of McCabe and the board taking us for granted. I would point out that I attend matches with the missus, who continues to attend, but that is her prerogative.
