Was one of the cabbages who bought a season ticket and has seen the usual 3 card trick of one of our best players sold a week before the transfer window snaps shut, and yet the same team without reinforcements has been humiliated at home to Bury.

Just making the point

Not been today, but the stats on bbc website tells a different story I do appreciate that these don't reflect the result sometimes, and it's frustrating at times but Bury haven't lost in 14 matches so not to much of a surprise, I had us down for a 3-1 home win, not to be, bring on the next match and hopefully we will for once learn from our losses.

For anyone who didn't go, it was poor fare. A dirty, timewasting set of cloggers, a pedantic twat of a referee willing to fall for all Burys playacting. Couple it with a jaded, tired United, who apart from Campbell Ryce, did fuck all up front. Oh and two spectacular Bury goals, both Howard's fault. That's the game summed up.

That ref was so camp, three times round the fountain and a shake of the forefinger I actually thought he was the world famous Margarida of Brazil. Sadly this twat didn't have Margarida's humour factor.
A jaded tired United .................. fuckin hell six games into the season and just had two weeks rest, surely they can't be jaded more like they are fuckin crap

They commited 17 fouls I think and never had a man sent off.

Although like I said in the shoutbox, you have to take your chances and we had more than enough chances to win this match.

14 shots for us but only 6 on target compared to their 6 shots and 4 on target.

Errrrmm... Where did you think any of the goals were Howard's fault? From where I was sat he had no chance with any of them, if anyone was at fault it was Jay "club captain" Mceverly.

Not Howards fault at all . We had the chances , but just of the mark today.

At least Adkins goes for the win , but unfortunatley didnt come off.

Tighten up the defence and we will be ok. Also remember that the midfielders have to help the defence by closing down.

No doom and despondency . The week off did not refresh us , it knackered us.

They should have had more bookings and a red card no question, they were such a dirty side. We were poor upfront Sammon should have scored first half and what was up with Sharps shooting, skying the ball far too many times.
McNaulty on far too late, Adkins needed him on at 10 minutes earlier to have any impact on the game.

The lob was a long way from me, I'd have to see it again before I could see if Howard might have done better.

For once though, he had no chance with the one from distance. A complete lack of effort and pressure on Bury was the cause of that one.

Just because a comment is made about how they looked tired, it doesn't mean I am saying they are exhausted through hard work or anything. Perish the thought. Don't worry, scrape past Colchester Tuesday night and no longer will they be crap.

Its known as an opinion. Not watched it again. Couldn't give a fuck who's at fault to be fair but goals two and three had Howard looking a complete twat at the time.

Howards fault !!! I saw a different match then

The defensive lapses to concede the three goals were monumental ...... McEvely at fault for two of them and the crap defending collectively for the other. I felt sorry for Howard personally !!

Oh ..... and the strikers were shit; couldn't convert good viable chances .......

A friend who was in line with their second 'wonder strike' said it got a deflection.

These international weekends are a pain in the arse and I don't agree LBofE, it didn't knacker us, it threw us off our stride.

And if United did look 'jaded' or 'tired' by the end of the game, it's nothing to do with their fitness. They were simply worn down by a few dozen thuggish 'challenges' and a ref. who totally refused to act.

The only one who looked like a twat was McEvely from where I was sitting ........

grafikhaus , tottally agree , what i meant with the break knackred us , was it did put us off our stride . I do think the lessons learnt by Adkins ( which we learnt from MK Dons last season , is that teams will come to the lane , to stop us playing , break up the game and the referees at this level , help there cause.

Bury came with a game plan and it worked. Wont be the last time this will happen at the lane .

Also we have to be more clinical at corners , but it will come.

Not sour grapes with losing today , just a fact , that IMO Bury came to get a point , and acheive it , by all means possiable , and finished up with 3 ,

Totally agree with this, thought Sammon tried hard and Sharp had his worst game to date. I feel that if ache was fit it would have been a different game. Way too much hoof ball for my liking, too.

Bury did the same to us as we did to Swindon by the sounds of things.

It was just a bad day at the office. Ok, we didn't play well but on another day we could have scored 4 or 5. It just wasn't happening for us today. Sharp & Sammon both missed sitters, Collins had a few header from corners.

McEvely was awful, he was at fault for all 3 goals. Reed, Woolford & Freeman had poor games too.

Way too much hoof ball for my liking, too.
What I thought too. We hit it long far too many times and it never came to anything.

No we didn't have a bad day at the office - Bury out thought us, out manouvred us, and struck the killer blows when it mattered !
Today, Sharp and Sammon were very poor up front - whilst it was a great save by their keeper in the first half Sammon should have buried it - Thats why he is on loan to us rather than fighting for a first team berth at Derby !
McEverely was at fault for two goals - lets face it the guy is just not good enough !
To add insult to injury before the game James Wallace and Jose Baxter watzed through the International Bar - couldn't give the kids enough time for an autograph ! When asked about his suspension Baxter hadn't the decency to apologise for his actions just 'Hoping to be selected on Tuesday ...................Tosser!!! Wouldn't be bothered if he never played again for the Blades ! As for Wallace ........ a crock !! get rid as soon as possible !
But not good enough today......... hope Mr adkins has taken note .......... these guys are not good enough for automatic promotion ... Woolford is certainly not good enough, Sammon seems to be missing easy chances and Billy Big Boots is not as good as he or Mr Adkins thinks he is !!!

So the blame is getting laid at the door of a single player who had a shocking game in Jay McEveley, but yet anyone who watched the Blades last season who knows the slightest bit about football will have known that Jay McEveley is nowhere near the standard that we require, yet we have had all summer to source a replacement, and since the day we flogged Murphy we have had more than sufficient funds to replace McEveley, so can anyone please give me a cogent and adequate answer to why on gods fucking earth he still plies his trade as a footballer for Sheffield United?

We never learn from our losses, just carry on making the same mistakes.
