Things Jake Wright could have done to Tufty

The only reason for leaving Wright out that I can possibly think of is that CW felt that we were solid enough and Basham, Landell and JOC gave us more going forward....which we needed as our strikers, (apart from Billy of course) can't score in a fuckin brothel.

What he didn't forsee was Landell's shocking dip in form coupled with Basham's brain going missing far more than usual...Freeman looks absolutely knackered and will be glad if the 10 day break as will Lafferty to get his fitness sorted, (although Riley must be seriously wondering what the fuck he has walked into).

Carruthers, Hanson and O'Shea available for the Wimbledon game and with Wright surely pushing for a start we could have a very different line up.

I still trust CW but things need shaking up.

Fell foul of a clause in EEL's loan agreement which means that he has to play if fit? Just a thought.

Wright's exclusion is baffling but Chris must have his reasons. I suspect (hope) that last night completely eliminated any doubts about bringing him back in, I hope he brings Wilson in as well who has been playing well and captaining the U23s. Bash and EEL need a spell on the sidelines I am afraid.

He won't drop Eel or Basham, both of whom he shoehorns in so JOC could be the one to drop out which would upset the balance completely.

Basham has been arguably the best out of the three of them recently which hasn't been hard so it would be a tad unfair to drop him but needs must if it gets us a better balance and Eel does indeed have a must play if fit note writen into his contract.

EEL has been utterly woeful recently, the worst out of the three and is not as good as some make out defensively anyway, he just gives us a great presence and gets odd vital goal.

Disagree about Basham being the best. He may look ok going forward but does he actually create anything? No. As part of a 3 man centre back partnership though his first remit is to stop the other team scoring and he has been woeful at this. Stood like a statue for Gillingham's second goal on Saturday and directly responsible for Fleetwood's first goal last night. When the defence is at it's most leaky, Basham is in it.

Now don't get me wrong, this is not a Basham bashing  exercise, I think he's a useful squad player and in his defence, he is not an out and out defender. It's not Basham's fault he's in the back 3. The responsibility there is Mr Wilders and it's him that needs to address this.

I've been wondering with Wilson too. I do remember if anything that he was the more solid of our centre backs when it was him and JOC in the first 4 games and in the 3 against Gillingham. Always seemed harsh to me that he got dropped in the first place.

Because Basham is constantly licking Wilders ring. Hate is a strong word but I fuckin hate Basham so much

I hope you're on the wind up. How can you hate a player who always gives his all and puts in some decent performances? Yes he might not be good enough some of the time but blame Wilder for playing him. Unbelievable.

Gives his all! Decent performances! He offers fuck all in either position. Suppose it wasn't his fault for their first last night was it?

A bit pathetic really.

He isn't really good enough for our first X1 but he is a trier and a decent squad player.

Why not pick on all the others in turn too? With enough sustained personal abuse and hatred, we might be able to drive them out of the club and at the same time frighten off any potential replacements.

It's not North Korea and critiscism is fine, but it has to be balanced. Of course everyone is hacked off but we are supposed to be 'supporters', not internet stalker cretins who just abuse people.

Get a grip FFS!

Can we get Wilson back in the team too. He's not been playing so he must be better than what we've been starting with as well!

For me, over the last month, and trust me when I say this because I am not a fan of Basham, he has been the best performer out of the three defenders played. It hasn't been hard to achieve this feat though, we've been woeful at the back in general and we will be better with Wright in the middle of the three, this is blindingly obvious to anyone who has seen us this season.

Agree about the defence Wizadry but my view is that Basham is the problem and Wright is the solution. To my mind, Wright's presence makes EEL and O'Connell better defenders, Basham's affects them negatively. Consequently, when Wright plays we concede fewer and when Basham plays there we concede more.

This is exactly what I'm trying to get across when I mention balance in my first post second paragraph on the subject and is what i've mentioned numerous times in previous Wright and Basham threads, I totally agree it's the thing to do but I just can't see CW doing it.

Its possible that Tufty caught Wright dancing with his missus at the Club Xmas party and dropped him .......

Cannot think of another logical reason why he wouldn't be playing the central CH position in the 3 x CH formation, if he's fit.

Come on Tufty ...... she loves you really ...... get him back in !!! ;)

Not saying it wasn't his fault and I'm not saying he's perfect but how can you say you hate him? He's a Blades player who gives his all, albeit he does suffer with a lack of ability at times. Blame Wilder for picking him if you don't like to see him the starting 11. I would reserve the word 'hate' for a wage stealer like Sammon last year.

Perhaps not the missus....

A girl at our school had a dad who was a manager in football.. She who was a 'ripe for picking' 17 year old formed a 'friendship' with one of the good looking first team footballers.. Not long after said football starlet is unusually sold... 17 year old girl is v upset and we all started getting (falsely) hopeful that she may extend her favours our way...She didn't. Our spots, pot washing wages and obvious one track minds had no chance after she'd been used to 'Fanny's' (NOT The Norfolk Arms!), travelling in a car (and not the 97 bus) and sparkling wine as opposed to Merrydown on the school fields..

Many ways to annoy a manager but tampering with family matters has to be right up there.

Clearly, I know nothing about the current United situation and I'm not starting a rumour, but something must have annoyed Chris?

Tufty's got face on because Jake Wright mistook him for the other Wilder and called him Willy Wonka.

Wright keeps changing the music to modern rubbish in the changing rooms - and hides Wilders 80's disco CD's
