At the start of the 2nd half on Saturday when I was getting somewhat parky I started looking around the ground to see where the warmest seats might be. Obviously I have been away from the North too long. But to my mind the Pukka Pie stand looks as though it should be a good few degrees warmer than anywhere else. It's completely sheltered against northerly winds. And yet no-one sits there. I have no idea how you measure temperature including wind chill but during the next first half stalemate it must be worth some kind of Johnny Ball experiment. We might be able to fill the Pukka Pie stand up if my rudimentary assumptions prove correct.

LOL it's that pokey corner thing next to the Kop. I've never been in that part of the ground.

BLUT must be the warmest and most sheltered, but I'd also go with the bovril theory

It were much warmer in t' kop when it were all standing and yer could jump abaht a bit.

It's allus warmer when we're winning an all.

The kop corner offers a great view, not only of the game but of the kop. I've sat there on my own a couple of times after accompanying friends on the JSS then wanting to go on the kop. Nowadays I still always go on the kop and stand at the back, regardless of where my mates might be.

Must be where there is cushioned seats , a bowl of soup and the facility to warm your back against a radiator at half time.

Surely The New South Stand ,as it is most southern ?

Yeah, I sometimes still call it the 'new' stand - it's only 40 years old! Anyway, I went earlier on Saturday to get a Spurs ticket. Things went swimmingly so I was sat in the 'New' South Stand at 1.50. Fucking hell it was cold. Thankfully, a great performance eventually warmed me up.

I regularly sat there between 1970 and 1976. Dont recall feeling cold even when I was wearing shorts in winter (I stopped wearing shorts in about 1972)

Aye... it was bloody freezing on Saturday. And to add insult to injury, the roof was dripping on me when it started raining.

Am I old enough to take a lap blanket yet?

I sit in the Pukka pie stand and its normally quite toasty in there.

I sit in the South stand and felt OK on Saturday,
Mind I do tend to wear a lot of clothes two pair of thick socks Hiking boots and a Balaclava. I have to admit I finish up looking not unlike the Michelin man and the wife says if I ever fell down I'd have to roll my way home.
But I'm not cold....:)

Get yourself a good beaver pelt to wrap round your neck, good time to get one now with its thickened winter hair.

Long Sleeved Blades shirt

Green jacket for when showers expected or more than 4 degrees, blue quilted jacket for 4 degrees or below

I'm in the Platinum Suite. I can assure you that it was Baltic on Saturday and not even the half time over-peppered soup countered the 2nd half chill. Maybe there are some carbon seat warmers you can buy from the back of The Sunday newspapers. When I lived in the US one of the NFL play matches took place in Chicago. That night the authorities were so concerned about the possibility of hyperthermia in the crowd (with wind chill they were expecting minus 30) that they put out an appropriate dress message of minimum clothing requirements.

Should take the approach that Madrid have...install heaters on the roof! Went a few years ago in the middle of feb and it was only a few degrees outside but warm enough to take your coat off in your seat. Class.

I can remember at the falling down S6 stadium many years ago ,either in the cantilever or north stand , they used to have cushions and blankets provided . It was great seeing the blue cushions being thrown on to the pitch in disgust , due to the teams continual shit performances .:D

The kop corner used to be the "juvenile pen".

I also seem to remember you could pay to get off the kop and onto the John St
