You should also be drinking as much water as possible, water, tiddle water tiddle, flush it out of your system
Thank goodness I'm getting something right.

I have now been in my bed for 26hrs and haven't eaten anything for about 29.

Water, tiddle, water, tiddle interspersed with paracetamol seems to have become my life.

RE: Wilder being reckless, You compare Utd being able to but a two or three players in the January transfer window 't'pigs approach', this despite no one suggesting that, even if it were possible, which it isn't.
Financially we're not in the same ball park.

You reckon Wilder would end up with a 'bloated, expensive squad which we can't afford' ...again, the evidence re: Wilder's transfer dealings so far would suggest this wouldn't be the case.

What is a 'low-risk gamble on loans' and how many would you suggest?

We got in the shit before spunking moneh with the loan system and that was before the era of £1 million pound 'loan fee's', never mind over inflated wages for kids who've hardly played...In addition, I'm not sure Wilder wants to send out a first eleven comprised of 6 loan players.

Define 'being cautious'.
It's a very low risk gamble to you when somebody else is putting up the stake money

Same owd, same owd cliches....this after all the ‘we’re a big club...game changing investment once we’re in the Championship’ from the owners.

Times have moved on, if the Championship is too expensive for our current owners they should look to do the same.

How do you know they're not?

Is your only criteria for owners that they must be loaded?

Maybe we should advertise the club for sale through Ernest Wilson? (Other business transfer agents available)

For what it's worth I think Mcabe would sell tomorrow to the right purchaser with the right bank balance but money is not the be all and end all. (That's an opinion and I can't substantiate it just as you can't substantiate the opposite)

I’m trying to substantiate it, it’s a suggestion which I hope they are indeed in the process of completing.

Still, I’m not sure McCabe will find that ‘right buyer’ until we are back in the Prem...

And therein lies the problem.

It's a catch 22 situation.

As a premier league club you become a much more attractive proposition but new ownership can still go tits up in a big way.

More proof - not that it was needed - that our owners are a complete and utter fucking tinpot disgrace.
Eh?

Why is the Prince involved then ,its not like he sits on the kop every week ,hes seen about 3 games in 3 years. Whats the point of him ,he will occasionally give an interview talking shit ,he really doesn't grasp what we are about.
But this comment...the prince said when he came on board and I repeat this twice a year so listen up:
The Prince is not a Sheffield United man, he's not even a football man. He's an investor and god knows how, given our recent history but Kevin McCabe convinced him to invest in Sheffield United. He bought his way into the club for a nominal £1 but has been splitting the running costs with McCabe for the duration of his tenure, so quick finger in the air maths 3 years losing 6 million quid a year, he's chucked in £9 million (don't start bringing out accounts, it's about that probably more). When he gets to a point where United are valuable enough to be bought out by a billionaire, he will probably jump at the chance and walk off with his half, which obviously will have to be in excess of his investment.

Mine too.

Went back the other week to see how much it's changed. It has....

My era. Late 70s, early 80s... same team(s) as Scott Sellars.

Beyond recognition now. Knocked down and rebuilt a couple of years after I left.

No upper and lower buildings with dark spaces in which to smoke or receive a knee-trembler. No character at all really.

Those kids don't know what they missed.

Well he better put some more in then ,because a 600k 3rd division midfielder aint going to be the catalyst to promotion and a multi million pay back on his 'investment' ,especially if one of the best managers in the country thinks fuck this and goes to a club that will match his ambition. Should have chucked his '9 million' at Bitcoin ,he would be tons richer and wouldn't have had to put up with a load of dee dars like me thinking hes all mouth and Thawbs.

south stand actually :(

Exactly...Catch 22.

What’s puzzling me is McCabe has gone from we’ll get ‘game-changing’ investment once in the Championship to, seemingly, his old stance of the club has to stand on its own two feet. ( or somewhere close)

All in just under two years and after our promotion to the Championship.

I really don’t know what HRH gets out of being involved tbh.

I had a similar issue getting a point across with him. Don't bother mate.

Not worth the effort as you clearly don't understand. It's not that difficult to work out really.

Oh well...

Well no, I don’t understand why you’re comparing the possible sale of Brooks and Wilder saying we’ll just be buying one player (hopefully) come January with t’pigs situation of spending 10 million quid on one player and spunking wages of 30/40/50k on players....nope...that would take quite an effort.

I had a similar issue getting a point across with him. Don't bother mate.

Except I understand and have responded to his point above...it’s quite clear and took little effort on either part.
