Me too. Flu friends or asbestosis from that shit hole of a school we went too? :(

Man flu at this stage. Full blown chest infection should arrive by Christmas.

Asbestosis won't be far behind, or COPD from having a fucking diesel boiler next to my classroom for 5 years. No wonder it was built next to a graveyard.

Transfer dealings are not CWs best trait as a manager.

It's a management team that put together a squad that romped to the L1 title with 100 points at the first attempt on a reduced budget. They then took a first eleven to the top of the Championship on one of the lowest budgets in that league...

I'd say they're not too bad at this transfer dealing lark and in no way comparable t'pigs farce.
As I said, that's just scaremongering at best...unless you think otherwise?

Well if it is just a few ones and RL from Southend it's not exactly a promotion push war chest is it. If Brooks goes on top of that, it's going to be a poor window. Despite the Giddings tweet CW didnt mention the 4 signings being loans - unless I just missed that bit in the interview??

I've never been convinced the board wanted anything more form this season that staying up. CW ambition was always more than that. This is ultimately why CW could well leave us in the near future.

So we're all getting upset about something that hasn't yet happened, might never happen and Wilder didn't actually say would happen?

I’m staggered.

Surely the board realise we won’t get a better chance of promotion than this season and we have to just go for it. I understand not spending for the sake of spending but to be talking of one permanent signing is very disappointing to hear. Wilder can’t keep pulling rabbits out of hats and over performing on this budget, as our results over the last month has indicated.

May be they are happy that we will stay up this season and that we may threaten the play offs which is obviously going to be better than they expected at the start of the season. One man who isn’t happy with that though is Wilder as his recent interviews after some disappointing games has proven. He wants promotion this season, and without suitable backing in January it’s very unlikely he will achieve that.

'Think Burton'.

At best you're scaremongering...unless of course you believe Wilder has been reckless in his transfer dealings so far?

or being cautious?
How do I suggest that Wilder has been reckless? - I think by getting in loans he is trying to do the opposite isn't he?

Not all transfers can be loans (re: summer spend) and they shouldn't be otherwise there would be no continuity - likewise not all should be perms unless your piggy bank is bottomless as ours clearly is not. low risk gamble on loans is the right away to approach this window imo

Not saying hes bad in the market place but hes dropped a few bollocks here and there.

I hope we get Leonard after all this fucking around.

If he comes out and says fuck me I tell you what we've got a fortune to spend and i'm after 3-5 players with about 10m to spend teams aren't going to have our eyes out for fees and players fuck us over for wages?

He's a very smart man Chris, I think he will sign a central midfielder early on loan and Leonard early in the transfer window. Courts will be back for next season and I can't see the trio of Fleck Coutts and Duffy going anywhere anytime soon, so there's no need to go balls out for a player that we don't see a long term future with like we do those 3. with Brooks to come in and Carruthers people really do panic a little more than they need too.

That's a fair question and I don't know the answer. There are loads of possibilities but why speculate?

Alright, one bit of speculation I will do...it seems possible that the new Belgian fella on the board is an indication of bigger things to come. Seems like a guy with real football pedigree and connections to Middle Eastern money. On the face of it he doesn't seem to me like someone who would sit on the board of a midtable Championship with no ambitions of going higher. But that's just guesswork.
The thing is, he’ll probably only be on the board until the mid January reshuffle

I’ve listened to this interview and still don’t hear anything about the status of the intended transfers.

Having said that if it’s true is there only me that sees this as a good thing? Our budget dictates any permanents will be on the Low end of the fee scale. Where as I’d expect top clubs to be lining up to loan us there best and brightest due to our league position and style of play..

One thing that does need to addressed in advance of this though is any PL loan incomings need to be treat by the fans as loans who are here to do a job in the short term and not to stamp your feet when McCabe won’t shell out £17m for a Belgian 20 year old in the summer after a great 6 months at the Lane

RE: Wilder being reckless, You compare Utd being able to but a two or three players in the January transfer window 't'pigs approach', this despite no one suggesting that, even if it were possible, which it isn't.
Financially we're not in the same ball park.

You reckon Wilder would end up with a 'bloated, expensive squad which we can't afford' ...again, the evidence re: Wilder's transfer dealings so far would suggest this wouldn't be the case.

What is a 'low-risk gamble on loans' and how many would you suggest?

We got in the shit before spunking moneh with the loan system and that was before the era of £1 million pound 'loan fee's', never mind over inflated wages for kids who've hardly played...In addition, I'm not sure Wilder wants to send out a first eleven comprised of 6 loan players.

Define 'being cautious'.
