I presume Foxy and Linz are preoccupied in snot or something much, much worse, so please close and merge when you get the chance to post the official matchday thread.

We need to be winning at Oakwell today. We've beaten the worst teams in the league and Barnsley are currently right down there. Whether you call it a local derby or not, they tend to end in a draw (unless one team is on a really good run), so it's very far from being a given. Especially with out current form.

It's going to be interesting to see how Slav lines us up without Gibbs-White. We're a bit stuck for a replacement unless he gives McGoldrick another chance. I hope we might have a change in formation to reflect this.

I'd like to see McBurnie get a run out. Sharp's done well but faded over the last games. We need to get another striker playing well as we can't rely on him in this formation and at his age. McBurnie seems the most likely.

Match is £10 on SUTV Live and also on the Sky red button. Safe travels for those making the short trip. I have fond memories of Barnsley being slaughtered by Man City there one Halloween.

Completely agree about McBurnie, would love Sharp to be able to play 90 minutes every week but clearly that’s not feasible or a particularly good idea, thinking about the future. Surely against a team so low on confidence and as an ex-Barnsley player, it’s a great chance for him to get some minutes (although the ‘ex-player coming back to haunt his old club’ thing only ever seems to happen us!). Sure Billy will still have some say on proceedings today though…

I see Billy as more of an impact sub but starting select games. We need to manage him and I'm sure he'd want to play every minute.

I'd be vaguely tempted to play Hourihane as the attacking midfielder in a 3, simply because Barnsley fans seem terrified of him scoring against them. He's not earned it but we're limited in terms of options.

Didn't expect that at all Mousse and McB, fair play it's an attacking line up, could have taken the easier decision and played Didsy from the start, having said that looks nailed on two of that team won't last 90 minutes, so Didsy and Sharp/Brewster nailed on to get on.

WTF did he sign Hourihane and Guedioura? Midfield has been a shit show for 18 months and hes brought in 2 midfielders who cant get into the starting 11.

need a win today, being in 18th after yesterday's game. as well as we are played at times. the mistakes & wastefulness is costing us

im not too worried as since the window closed we have been better team in almost every game. just things gone against us. but we do need to start winning with our next 3 winnable games
