When you don't have a midfield who can tackle and a defence that can't defend you have to have pace on to kept the other team pinned back. Slav very nearly threw that away bringing on our slowest forwards. Should have kept McBurnie on for a full 90mins and brought Brewster on for Mousset both need the minutes on the field poor management from Slav.

I agree we needed pace, Slav should have seen that. In his defence, why are our players so mentally weak that a substitution causes them to drop back so far? Where's the on pitch leadership to keep a shape? We just drop further and further back.

Brewster needs to be making himself look a decent option too. I can't honestly say I'd blame anyone for not putting him on, yeah he needs minutes but he's had them and done fuck all with them.

that was a game of 2 halves if there ever was 1, 1st half was absoultely dreadful, worst half since luton. very worrying that we were worse of the 2 teams. considering Barnsley had only won 1 in 13, hadnt scored in open play for 13 & half hours. then appartantly playing great in the 2nd half. until we did our best to chuck it away again. but utd crumbling when opposition get 1 back isnt new.

id say every manager of least last 10/12 yrs has done this. i remember v villa when we all 4-0 up by HT in 2017? conceded 1 & we got worried it would finish 4-4

i say appartantly as i was totally blind to 2nd half because of a comedy of issues

• no radio signal in work canteen
• no red button on skygo
• couldnt get sky id to work on app
• when i finally got radio reception post lunch. RS fell off air & didnt come back on til after FT
