congrats linz, ill back you all the way on this one, much the same as everyone on here i would suspect. Get it into the club too, they will love to hear about the fans sticking up for the club they love, im sure TR and NW would love to see this

"I am certainly considering canceling my subscription and will look towards other methods of having a organisation I have a vested interest in insulted in future and for half the price." Can't get my head round that bit Linz. Also, "a organisation" should be "an" and "Sheffield United Football Club" is singular so should read "its conduct" not "their conduct". Other than that, spot on, get it sent, fook 'em up!!

Sorry, I wrote it on Wordpad so the mistakes that Word would mop up have seeped through :)

Will send it tonight anyway so if there's anything else anyone would like to add (or correct ;)) :D

EDIT:

Found that the article had been linked to on Reading's main message board and totally misconstrued...

He?!?! And if we're talking about protesting too much, take a look at your own club :)

"the ugly violence, initiated by Sheffield United"

Well, that bit is true, it was all started by Keith Gillespie!

Wally Downes however, the member of the Reading coaching staff who stormed across the two technical areas to shove Warnock in the chest, is only mentioned in passing by Hughes as becoming “involved”.

If they're moaning about this journalist not having all the correct facts, well maybe they should get theirs fact correct too! Wally shoved Warnock on the shoulder, not on the chest!

And the rest of it is just justification for Sheffield Utd's aggressive on field behaviour. Just because Arsenal are dirty, you don't have to be the same!

And the author of this article seems to be suggesting that Gillespie was right to hit Hunt because of his reputation. Downes didn't shove Warnock because Warnock had a reputation. He only did it because Warnock said something and did a gesture. What did Hunt do? Nothing.

Erm... no not really.

The point I was making what why is it constantly Sheffield United that are singled out for cricitism when there are a number of clubs who push the boundaries of the rules to a greater extend than us and get away with it.

And no, the author of the article is not suggesting that Gillespie was right to slap Hunt - she called this a ridiculous argument if you care to read this properly.

Warnock answers back.............

Personally I think Fatboy Samuels had the main ideas for that article written a LONG time ago, and has been waiting for Neil to step out of line... which he actually didn't! So.. :p to the bearded toad.

I think he was insulted by Jags poke at Southern softies... He certainly looks soft around his considerable middle to me. ;)

The ultimate reply is surely United's disciplinary record, which is very very good. We don't have a nasty leg breaker of a player in our whole club (since Michael Brown left!), and I'm sure the Times were just short of news, rather than anything else. Perhaps NW's turning them down for a regular column is the biggest reason, as Neil thinks..
