Sharp puts himself about and stretches defences. McBurnie does nothing.

In other words, we create opportunities with Sharp in the team. We don't look like scoring with McBurnie.

Depressing when you look at the tens of millions we’ve spent on strikers in recent years and the best striker at the club by some distance is Billy.

This isn’t a dig at him either, the guy is a class act but I just find it depressing that we’ve wasted all that money and don’t have anyone capable of coming in and doing a job when he’s injured.

We wouldnt have scored with Billy today as we lacked drive all game and created nothing until the last 5 minutes.

All game we played tidy neat passes between players which kept possession and did nothing. Several times players received the ball with back to goal and no one near them. Instead of turning keeping it and running with it they just passed it straight back to the nearest team mate. They didn't even look to see if they were marked or under pressur, it was an instant reaction to receiving the ball. It was painful to watch.

Berge was the only one who kept it and drove forward with it, making runs on the ball. Everyone else gave Reading all the time in the world to get back, drop deep and wait for the predictable shit cross to come in after faffing about with meaningless possession passing.

We were predictable and kept doing the same things over and over. Reading didn't need to press us. They just had to wait for us to stop fannying about and defend and easy cross. As soon as they got it they lumped it down the pitch and they were instantly one on one with a defender with only a keeper to beat after.

They defended against us and tore us open quite often with relative ease, as we made it so easy for them by doing the same crap over and over and over.

It reminded me of the dark days of Wilder. Plan A isn't working. Change the players and stick with Plan A. Plan A still isn't working? We'll, we're fucked now!

Depends how you look it because I think with Billy in the team he tends to give the others a kick up the arse.

When is Billy back? I seem to have completely missed any injury news about him recently
