Incredibly harsh since we signed him as a striker and did well there. He gave everything, and I think we quicker athletic players around him he's a 20 goal a season striker.
 
If the figure is true I'd not be overly shocked if Brayford is leaving as well. Not paid off but mutually ended early to give him the opportunity to find a club in the Championship for next season.
 
So I've got Long, Basham Brayford done sharp Adams then kids such as Whiteman reed etc

Can't see us paying scougall off but the rest I have no issue with
 
So who's left on the books then? che, billy, beard? also if we're paying off some that are in contract as well is that not going to dent the budget for new players

As i said, luckily he won't have to play there again. I just said its not like he's not played the position before
 
Bit hard on Basham if he has been let go imo. No world beater but the lad has heart, can play in 3 positions, rarely gets injured and after a very shaky start showed real character to become one of the first on the team sheet. We could have done with a few more like him at times over the last 2 seasons.

he was terrible when played up front last season. Throughout the whole season he's barely looked like he has basic ball control. Incredibly disappointing after the season before.

Someone mentioned Done as one of a handful staying so my comment was about him. But I agree most have been shocking. Personally, as mentioned earlier, I would just keep Sharp, Adams and Basham.
 
As good as it sounds to ship a load of old shit out. Some of these players arn't that bad as squad players like ncnulty. Be a shame if the likes of done, long and basham have gone.

We can't possibly be left with just 4 pros at the club. Fair enough not retaining out of contract people. But can we really sign an entire squad in a summer?

Agreed must surely be more cost effective ways to rebuild. Still I guess it depends what type of contract they are on.

Think we can all agree tho if the likes of mceverly, Hammond, woolford, sammon never pull on a shirt for us again it can only be a good thing.

Fresh young team would be good.

He managed 7 goals last season despite only playing a few games upfront (10/12 mostly subs?). He was also injured for the first few months wasn't he?

Given the amount of goals he scored for us/Dale the season before I think it's a bit hard to judge him.

Don't agree with that. He is ok and handy as a squad player. Agree we need better in the first 11 though if we want promotion
