i read about the millions available ln the Prem, but does anyone not an exact amount United will get?

There's not an exact amount, there's a minimum but anything beyond that is open.

Now I could Google it but I can't be arsed as I don't care however, nothing stopping you though...

Thanks. Now is that lump sum or split into monthly, affordable payments?

Enough to spend up to £50m + on transfer fees.

But dem pesky wages are a bugger ;).

UTB

100% agree on wages.

Not to be a downer but I read a stat about how basically only Burnley have turned a profit this year in their released accounts - despite all the tv revenue.

We need to be sensible with the ‘riches’ supplement out squad on team friendly contracts with a relegation clause in.

Wilder has shown we can compete with a hand tied behind our back - we may need to be sensible and do the same again.

Think of the biggest number you know, and then add £1 more. :)

Watch Look North later for a more detailed view of this.
They had a fella from Sheffield University on at dinner-time - an expert in football finance no less - and he said work on £120m with a bit of possible flex either way. Seems to be the middle of what Greasy Chap Butty.
And he said his suggestion would be invest half on players and half on infrastructure/ground/academy/facilities, whatever you prefer to call 'em.
£120million.......!

On look north a couple of weeks ago they reported .Huddersfield had recorderd a profit cannot remember exactly how much but I think it was around £18/20 million ,they may have gone down but it should put them on a stable footing

When do we get the biggest sums, the £35m for home tv rights and the £40m for overseas tv? Before, during or after the season?

We’ve never had anything like this sort of money before. It’s transformative used properly.

On one of the Blades Pods they had Kieran Maguire (the football finance lecturer) on and he said that Sky pay early to put cash in the coffers and stimulate the summer transfer window. Then more people pay for Sky.

Enough to buy six good Championship players that are ready to make the step up, pay them well, and still have a few quid left over.

What ever the true amount (some guy on Look north said £120m straight away) it should secure the clubs future for a decade if used wisely. I would hate us to go down the Fulham route hopefully we will go for steady improvement as we have done since Wilder walked in the door. We have to spend a bit to install a few upgrades to the lane but on top of the Sky money we will command much more sponsorship and much more spent on shirts and all the rest of the bollocks footy fans buy.
At the end of the day even if we go back down like the porkers predict we will have had approaching £200m pumped into the club, while the pigs look forward to a fire sale to get around FFP issues or maybe a points deduction. They could be lucky to be able to afford a few pots of paint to patch over the rust bucket which is looking increasingly tired and derelict.
