Harry's Game. I appreciate Duffy might do more than what an unqualified eye like myself may see, but against Birmingham I felt McGoldrick was doing what Duffy used to/is supposed to do. This is turn left us with just Billy up top against 3/4 defenders.
Duffy did play the one-two for the goal but I can’t say it really made a goal scoring opportunity. For me he looked to be seriously lacking confidence and unable to beat anyone one on one.
When Madine came on I think we looked better purely because McG could play wherever he wanted and we generally had two central strikers.
Beans podcast may well prove this to be incorrect from a stats point of view, but we did appear to be more of a threat.
I wasn’t that pissed watching it either (I don’t think) and i’m not so sure we did start going long when Madine came on, again
