As long has we have a decent quality team playing on the thing it all helps I guess.

Personally I would have liked the money spent on transfers though, and then focus on the small things once/if we get success.

Looks like we are getting a Dresso down....

I'll get me coat again

If we are committed to spending £850,000 in 18 months that tells me 2 things:
1. There is money available to spend
2. It's 18 months away so it's not a short term interest in UTD

Good news me thinks

Knew about this ages ago berkshire. jimm phipps was chatting about funding on twitter to 'some fans';).

Some of us have been banging on about Desso pitches for years now ;)

Great news if for no other reason than it tells us how our owners are thinking.

Although I can understand why some posters would prefer money spent on players rather than the pitch, why focus on one or t'other, why not let's have both? I doubt the installation of a new pitch is purely to be admired, Clough will have contributed to this and in doing so this will help in the type of player he wishes to bring to the club.

Good move, forward thinking, and a relief to finally see that the club are taking the on-the-pitch matters literally.

Why not this summer? Anyone know?
I understand they can only do 2 per season and this summer is booked up.

This has to be very good news. They are hardly going to bring the ground up to PL standards if they are not fully committed to leaving this league ASAP

yes, Ground Force was taken off air a few years ago unfortunately.

Is there only one company that can lay a bit of grass!!!!
Apparently in this case yes! I think they have an army of old ladies who knit it into our existing grass, a bit like those who knit mini shreddies. Thakes feckin ages and if they drop a stitch they have to unravel and start again.

Here's an action shot of them knitting Old Trafford

I laid the lawn in my back garden it's not that hard

Well there's been a lot of shit put on it in the last few years and it has got no better till now so a new surface may be the solution.

Sitters, if you were George Clooney I'd imagine you could afford a penile extension.....but this does raise the question, are you suggesting that future signings are possessed of Bratwurst, Frankfurter, or cocktail sausage?

My Penile extender.
