How we all feeling for this? We go into it being the obvious favourites which makes me very nervous!

Having watched them I really do think they're levels below us. Just play our big standard game and I think we'll have too much for them. Think we've enough bite too to cope.

It's our general performances in the last 3 games that has me nervous.
Yes we won today and we deserved to win but the goals were terribly soft from their POV rather than clinical from ours.
We have become a little too careless in possession in the middle third for my liking with Souttar having to save us at the back.
Getting to and into the box isn't a problem but everyone seems unable to strike a ball with any conviction once they get there.

Need to improve and start going through the gears a bit.

From what I've seen of them. It will be a game of few chances
They press well and we don't like being pressed they counter well but really lack quality up front

Derbies are always unpredictable, but they really are quite wank.

If our defence and midfield perform, I can't see them causing us too many problems. Our front line remains the worry.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see another 0-0, or a 1-0 either way.

They’re exactly the standard of team that we’ve beaten and not conceded against this season. Mid to lower table filler.

However it’s a derby game and they’ll be up for it so it won’t be simple. I’d take 0-0 now.

Going to be trying very hard (and mostly failing) to not think about it for 2 weeks. I hate playing them. There's so much at stake it sucks all the enjoyment out of it until and unless we win, in which case it's unbridled joy and gloating.

Our midfield is streets ahead of theirs. Souza, Blaster, Hamer, O'Hare would all walk into their side any day of the week. That's the key battle we have to win.

What we absolutely CANNOT do against them, is get in front and then try and hold onto it and go negative, like I thought we did a bit today. If we get ahead, and we're on top, we need to go for the jugular and kill the game.

Say what you want but they scored goal of season last night, we should have enough at home to beat them.

As others have said, we've been pretty solid at home and have beaten teams we should beat on paper. I'm never confident in a derby though, always cagey affairs. Given recent history, our defensive record and lack of goals a 0-0 seems a pretty safe bet.

It's worth pointing out that their form isn't actually too bad and they've recently picked up wins at Pompy and Cov. After a pretty poor start to the campaign they've moved upto mid table. From what I've seen they like to press, which we don't always deal brilliantly with.

If it were anyone else I'd back a narrow home win, but in this I have zero confidence.

I actually don't think they are that bad, certainly deserved to win last night although Portsmouth are the worst side I have seen in the Championship so far this season.
Do we have the better players yes, I actually am struggling to think of one of their players that would get in our side.
But they press you and close you down and that is something that we seem to struggle with, add in it's a derby and the fact we are not exactly prolific scores, plus they seem to be scoring a few worldie goals I can see it being a very tight and tense game.
Not actually looking forward to it if I'm honest.

We've dominated the city since the early 90s when they had a top team, and we still did the double over them, Bobby Davison etc
Its dangerous being favourites, and I dont look forward to these games at all.

FFS Rak-Sakyi alone will rip them to shreds and can you imagine what Vini is going to do to Bannan 😂 have a bit of faith for God sake! Was happy Anel and Hamer will have their suspensions out the way so we won’t be missing important players.
I was hoping they’d have lost a few on the bounce and Rohl might be in danger as I pictured a Star headline (after Jes banged in the winner) saying ‘Rak, Crack and Sack’ after our 4-0 win saw Danny get his marching orders.

They've spent a good few quid to be slightly better then relegation fodder so could well happen.

We like a bit of a press too so it will probably be very scrappy.

When it comes down to it though, I think we are more likely to breach their defence than the other way around.

Can't say I ever look forward to the games, but I don't worry too much about them either.

2 games before that but it doesn’t matter if we think we are better than them, as they found out in 2017 it’s what happens on the day that counts.

Well I obviously want us to win this game just so that I can sing 'nil nil and you fkd it up, nil nil....'

😆

Form goes out the window .
The year we did the double they came 3rd top and it was our results that stopped them winning the league.
We had a team full of Wimbledon rejects and Bobby Davidson on loan .
Wednesday celebrate 0-0 draws at the lane , we need to score early then hit them fast and not sit back .
We are due a heavy win against them and I hope wilder installs this in the players after losing george .

We’d be fine if we could be more clinical in the final third. Again, today, we should have won by more really and the goals we get were the “lucky” chances.

im as excited as i am terrified. but i was saying earlier wednesday could be on a similar run to us last season losing 6-0 5-0 & 5-0. i still wouldnt be confident going into the game. because how can you be. its as close to a cup final in league as you can get

Fuck em, Piggy bastards. I'm usually interested in looking what the opposition do well, how we match up etc.

Fuck that. I hope the ground opens up and swallows their shitty ground.

Our city needs these games. Well up for it. Early beers to mask the nerves. Atmosphere should be top drawer. Expecting a scrappy as fck game, which I think we'll edge (they'll obviously claim and celebrate a 'relative victory'). But yeah, looking fwd to it.
