Just throwing a few names in. These are set out by category. Some fit more than 1 category. I would be happy to some degree with any of them. I have assumed that the prince carries some clout, but tried to remain realistic. I have avoided by and large those currently in jobs.

Pragmatic

· Tony Pulis

· Alex McLeish

· Steve Keane

Splash the Cash

· Martin O’Neill

· Roberto Di Matteo

Bladey Bladey

· Neil Warnock

· John Pemberton

· Brian Deane

· Kevin Blackwell

· Rob Page

Lower Divisions Know-how

· Russell Slade

· Gary Johnson

· Keith Hill

· Mark Robins

· Simon Grayson

Short Passing Game

· Sean O’Driscoll

· Steve Davis

· Karl Robinson

International

· Jean Tigana

· Didier Deschamps

· Alex Sabella

Wait for them to be Sacked

· Brian McDermott

· Ian Holloway

· Malky McKay

And you missed off Nigel Clough and return of the Dan?

And you missed off Nigel Clough and return of the Dan?

Deliberately. Could not think of 1 thing about Clough either good or bad. 4 years of nothingness at Derby but, on the other hand, nothingness better than decline. I liked Danny Wilson. Always dignified, had no luck at the Lane and produced one of the region's best footballing teams at Barnsley, vastly superior to O'Driscoll at Doncaster, but it would be too soon for a return for him.

Sod it, just bring Warnock back. We've failed with every other manager because the players can't play for the managers we've had.

So we now need a motivator

I read your post's Swizzler , and think to myself , there's an intelligent man who know's what he's talking about , then ya post this , it's all that raw fish mate it's addling your brain , shakes head in a perplexed manner . ;)

Ha ha I'll take that as a compliment

There is sense in what I'm saying. The club is on it's arse and has clearly no confidence so get the man that motivates shite players

It was indeed a compliment young man , and your right confidence is on the floor , but some of the names being bandied about are laughable , or maybe it's just a syptom of how desperate we are as a club , and supporters , that sven , and all the others that turned us down 4 months ago are seen as saviours , said on other postings , if we have the cash as were supposed to , De matt , or Mr O'neill , before he get's the paddie's job .

Made me curious about Deano, looked at the table and his team are bottom of the league. :(

Watching Jags last night I was reminded that, had Warnock seen what everyone else did and played him at centre-back instead of midfield, we would not have been relegated from the Prem.

I don't disagree that, like Bassett, he was a motivator and could get the best out of modest players (unlike our last manager, who contrived to get the worst out of decent players).

He would probably save us from relegation (which, in my view, any new manager will do). But it would be a step back, hardly in keeping with what we are told are the board's plans for the future.

Remind me again where Warnock played jags in the PL?

In goal for one game... And the majority?
