My biggest fear is next season if we don't go up....takeover doesn't happen, half the squad leave on frees, transfer embargo remains.......nailed on return to L1

Luckily my son is past that stage at 10 years old, we had a good conversation yesterday where he was on about the Liverpool and Man City fans at school who have changed allegiances a few times already. He said he'd much rather support the Blades, go to games and watch us be rubbish than just pretend to support another club for the sake of it.My 6-year-old, who's been to about a dozen matches with me starting at the arse end of the Slav era, hasn't wanted to go since January. He was lucky enough to see several 3+ goal-margin swashbuckling wins early on, including the demolition of Burnley, but the last few games he's been saying he's bored midway through the first half, wanting to leave before the end and not liking the unsettled vibe in the crowd. I don't want to force him to go, but I was at least hoping the prospect of the world's best players gracing the Lane next season might make him want to come to more games. Carry on down this trajectory and I can see him becoming an armchair Man City fan to fit in with his mates.
Sure my lad will follow suit but not going to push too hard, to be honest he's still probably a bit young to be going regularly. At least he's had a taste of the place now. I will, however, drag him to Wembley if necessary, which could of course put him off for life.Luckily my son is past that stage at 10 years old, we had a good conversation yesterday where he was on about the Liverpool and Man City fans at school who have changed allegiances a few times already. Poor kid.
I think my son was 5 or 6 the first game he went to, home V Barnsley. Sharp scored and Clarke got sent off. He was on my knee when we scored and I managed to chuck him over the seat in frontSure my lad will follow suit but not going to push too hard, to be honest he's still probably a bit young to be going regularly. It’s you that’s the bottlejob!Be 3rd next weekend FML
It’s you that’s the bottlejob!
This is trueThis is Sheffield United. I guess we convinced ourselves it would be different. This is what we do and we do it very well unfortunately.
All I would say is at least put a few bets down and make some cash out of it.
Sadly, or maybe not so sadly, he's learned at a very early age.My 6-year-old, who's been to about a dozen matches with me starting at the arse end of the Slav era, hasn't wanted to go since January. My own fault I suppose, walking out of the Burnley game I told him 'enjoy this son, it won't always be this good'. Didn't expect to be proved right within 3 days.
If you want City Center turn left onto Shoreham Street. As you know, I've been eating humble pie over Hecky since he took over. Never had any faith in the entire directorate, management and squad set-up. McCall being my one exception to that rule.
Teams that develop significant leads in the table push on to play from the confidence that their position brings and crush opposition.
We've been far from that; no consistency and have rarely brushed our opponents aside.
I do believe the emperor's new clothes are now being exposed for what they are, threadbare.
Really hope I'm wrong.
But my hope for promotion or an FA Cup Final victory (and European football!!!) are already heading for the exit.

Will do, just after I’ve picked up a bargain in the club shop’s ‘we nearly got promoted and almost won the FA Cup’ end-of-season saleIf you want City Center turn left onto Shoreham Street.
What do you mean? We won there in 1925. Isn't that recent enough?!?Sure my lad will follow suit but not going to push too hard, to be honest he's still probably a bit young to be going regularly. Yes it does. It’s you that appears to have given up on 2nd place, not them. That doesn't make sense.

Promotion is based on a long season, not 2 games, where we one one, and lost one.Judging by the last two games the players have too.
Do people walk about living in cloud cuckoo land or somethingPromotion is based on a long season, not 2 games, where we one one, and lost one.
Have faith my friend, it’s been a very successful season so far.One bad loss doesn’t mean we’ve blown it.
Rather that than the dystopian misery, that you must walk about in.Do people walk about living in cloud cuckoo land or something
You're not the only clapper to talk about this "one bad loss"
We have just lost to ALL FOUR teams directly behind us
Alright there Jimmy Muir’s dad???Do people walk about living in cloud cuckoo land or something

Didn’t Blackburn have a shocker in the early 90’s when they were flying in the championship only to squeeze into the playoffs in 6th? I think they then won the playoff final. I am comforting myself with the fact that we could have 3 Wembley trips this season with an FA cup final and play-off final. Can you remember anyone being 14 points clear with two thirds of a season played, and then blow it.
I suppose it's just another of those extraordinary, unbelievable fuck ups specially reserved for the fans of Sheffield United

How did we get on when we played `Burnley?
WTF is so miserable about pointing out the truthAlright there Jimmy Muir’s dad???
I was talking to a mate a few weeks ago and he said "we're playing all the decent teams soon again so we'll not win many". I was of the opinion at the time that we were good and that we'd just sweep them aside. Turns out he was right.Failure to beat the top 6 sides recently or even get a draw out of these games has been horrendous and so damaging,
theres at least 12 clubs in the championship a lot shittier than us at our worstMy biggest fear is next season if we don't go up....takeover doesn't happen, half the squad leave on frees, transfer embargo remains.......nailed on return to L1
