So after the relatively safe but in the end disappointing result on Monday evening, it's right back into the derby mood again with the visit of Rotherham United. The Millers are on an unbeaten run of 6, though 5 have been draws. But considering their current position that's not too bad at all. They seem a confident set of fans that they will get a result against our long ball team, but I'm not quite sure they've read the script....

But anyway.

Any team news? :)

Presumably we go same as Monday?

Or a slight variation with Duffy coming in?

Is Madine now considered a starting fixture?

I'm not quite sure where the Rotherham fans are getting such confidence from however I do feel we need to be on our game today as they will play with high energy and effort. But all things being equal, and especially if we get an early goal, we should be putting ourselves 2nd, temporarily at least. 3-0 Blades.

Rotherham’s dismal away record - 7 points from 17 games - is the main reason they’re where they are. We just need to make sure we don’t let them grind out another draw. 2-1 Blades.

I'd like to see duffy back. And possibly hogan for madine.

I think Hogan will play against Brentford on Tuesday rather than today.
CW went with Washington’s pace against them in the away match and it worked well.

McGoldrick, Sharp and Duffy today and against Leeds.
Madine, Hogan and Dowell against Brentford.

OK - last 2 away games (WBA &Pigs) we all would have taken 4 points before hand - so, lets be real - well done United.

It has to be back to normal at Home - Front three of Duffy, Billy and McG.

From what I have seen Rotherham like to play football - they mix it a bit, but they are not like the Millwall game that's coming.

Get the footballers on the pitch - back to 3-4-1-2 playing the way we do - especially on our own patch.

PS: Please KOP.........get the noise going. I know some try but it's a necessity now. South Stand does sometimes and if Rotherham bring a few then G&H will have banter with them and will start things that the rest of us on South Stand join in with - but we need noise from the KOP and plenty of it.

Dreading those long throws by Vokes onto the bonce of Ajayi,he had a few opportunitys at their ground.

Blades will still blow them away.

We need to go back to what where good at today. Ball on the floor and out wide. Rotherham’s main positive is that there big and strong so knocking up to Madine just doesn’t make sense.
Duffy didsy and sharp and then football them off the park.
Would also like to see Cranie come in

We will get a bit more protection today as this ref won’t hesitate to issue the cards having said that hope Norwoods very careful with his challenges. Ref from County Durham and has issued 12 yellows cards In the last two games

Rotherham are the only team in the league that haven't won away this season.

Blades 0-2 Rotherham

Maybe a time to rest Norwood for Leeds?

Sharp may be rested today I think.

Real Bannana skin today and we cannot afford to slip up.

I’d like to see Duffy behind mcgoldrick and hogan for me

That is a technical attack

Plus I don’t think Billy’s been at it the last 3/4 matches give him a rest

The forecast last night had it pissing it down and then drying up at 14:00. So that's good. Thanks, SYP.

I'd get Cranie in, he's earned it. Baldock if fit. Coutts in for Norwood. Back to the regular 3 up top.

Henderson
Cranie Egan O'Connell
Baldock Coutts Fleck Stevens
Duffy
Sharp McGoldrick

Subs: Moore, Basham, Johnson, Norwood, Dowell, Hogan, Madine

A 2-0 win and yet another clean sheet would be great.

An atmosphere would be nice but the kick off time's probably killed any chance of that.

I know we are worried about Norwood picking up a suspension for Leeds but if he is going to be left out today I’d rather Lundstrum came in than the current incarnation of Coutts who I am afraid looks finished.

People have pointed to him taking a while coming back last time as evidence he'll be fine. I tend to think the opposite, a second major leg injury might just have done him in.

Time will tell, I guess.

Expect a frustrating game with Rovrum parking the bus but blades to win 2-0. Hogan will score
