So pretty much everything said ahead of the Middlesbrough match, now stands for this afternoons game versus Millwall. A side on an excellent run of form, unbeaten in 12 games. Probably a must win, and definitely a must not lose. A draw won't be great, but with Bristol City and Boro playing each other today it might NOT fully end the season for us. Problem is, unless we win today, can we really overturn a 3 point gap and inferior goal difference with just 3 games left.....

Anyway....

Any team news? :)

Stearman to return?

Stick with Moore or Blackman making a return?

Duffy a starter?

Or remain unchanged throughout?

Millwall will be rightfully full of confidence and have a large following this afternoon. Including a number of unsavoury characters apparently travelling up without tickets. Hopefully this afternoon will be all about the match, and a positive result would be nice. Another 2-1 would be great, a win by a larger margin would excellent and extremely useful, but 3 points are all that matters today. Keep your wits about you today folks, and stay safe. 2-1 Blades win.

Huge game, and I'm hugely up for this one, as we all should be.

Not had a game like this for years. It's good to be involved in such a big game at the top end of the Championship again.

Win and it's well and truly on, draw and we're still in with a shout, lose and it's as good as over for us.

And that was my 10,000th post. Pat me on the back please.

Pat on the back? Fuck off Herbert. :D I'm too scared to get up for this. I shall be hiding on the concourse with a balti pie.

Huge game today, for me its biggest since home game v Oxford back in august 2017 which began this amazing journey. As Win we are level & lose we are 6pts off likely over with 3 to go. As we would have to win all 3 & have favourable results go our way. But despite beating them comfortably in L1. With form millwall are in, im expecting this will be a whole load tougher this season

if we win, derby lose & middlesboro draw. Could be 2 between 5th - 9th come 5pm but on prediction thread a few days ago. I said how i prediction the fixtures & had millwall Bristol city & us all on 72 going into the final day. Which im not sure my nerves can take it. Although nice that after a year off we back to doing things the stressful way :D

Jamal Blackman and Richard Stearman start for the Blades in the crucial lunchtime encounter with Millwall.

The duo replace Simon Moore and Jake Wright, who drop to the bench.

Blades: Blackman, Baldock, Stevens, Fleck, O'Connell, Basham, Lundstram, Clarke, Stearman, L Evans, Brooks.
Subs: Moore, Sharp, Donaldson, Wright, Leonard, Duffy, Lafferty.

Millwall: Archer, Meredith, Hutchison, Williams, Gregory, Romeo, Wallace, Morison, Saville, Cooper, Marshall.
Subs: Cahill, Onyedinma, Martin, Tunnicliffe, Elliott, O'Brien, Shackell.

Couple of questions in the Shoutbox - anyone know if Holmes is injured, or has he just fallen way out of favour?

I didn't realise the match started at 1pm and I said I'd work until 2pm today! YEAH!

Wasn't the most exciting. I thought Millwall look good at closing down and playing at a decent intensity. They've done well at nullifying our passing game so far.

Launch it to the big men up top where we always fail to deal with it (Bolton, Cardiff). 1 minute added time is also ludicrous.

Draw is useless for us may as well go for it now

Why can’t we handle Route1?
Been our achillles heel in the last few weeks.
Big hoof and in.

Blackman should have stayed on his line.

Glad Clarke scored with the amount of abuse he was getting. Football 'fans' can be the most fickle b@stards about. Embarrassing.
