So after the narrow defeat at QPR on Tuesday night, we immediately have the chance to put things right with the visit of Hull City to BDBL. That is no way suggesting that this is an easy game, as I expect it to be just as tough as the midweek game turned out. Now I won't tempt fate by saying what it is obvious to most, but let's just say hopefully we bounce back immediately as we seemingly have over the last season and a third....

Anyway...

Any team news? :)

Moore obviously replacing Blackman....

Baldock struggling?

Fleck a certain return.

Clarke to be the starter?

There are still a lot of talented players in this Hull side, and we'll need to be back to our committed best to ensure the right result. I expect a tight game, as most have been so far, with a 2-1 Blades win and a chance to return to the top! :)

Enjoy the game and UTB

Reading Roygbiv 'Viewfrom' they are a set of supporters with very little confidence in the team and club. See the controversial owners are in dispute with the council who own their stadium after removing the club and City coats of arms off the stadium yesterday. Hope all that negative energy is reflected on the pitch and in their performance

It's a game where the odds are stacked in our favour really. Owners hated by the fans, manager is a fruit cake, team on the slide. But despite all that, it won't be comfortable.

I expect the usuals in midfield and upfront with Moore coming in, Bash at right wing back and Jake Wright in at centre half.

Not going to predict a score but on current form a match we should win comfortably and the benefit of a home match after a hiccup. Everything is falling into place for us this season :)

A chance to return top? Is it 6 points for a win?! :)

5'6 he's hard as fuck he is our Scottish hero..
Duffy is the bounce killer and is on fire,
Coutts is the Rolls Royce of footballers,
Brooks is the most exciting player I've seen at the Lane.. maybe ever (1995 -)

But Fleck is our hearbeat.
This isn't in hindsight of the QPR defeat either. We all appreciate his touch, his passing and his quality but he brings so much more.
He niggles and presses better than any other player we have, he creates space and is always available. He gives us our tempo, if he slows the ball down the game slows down, and if he burts past a man or decides to ping the ball around fater then the whole game speeds up.

Basiacally hes brilliant, and currently irreplaceable and I cant Wait to see him back.

Last time we played them (at Wembley), we were the big underdogs. Two divisions separated us, and they were a decent bottom half premier league side. In the end that extra bit of quality shone through.

And now just two and a half years later the tables have turned. We are comfortably above them and very strong at home. They seem poor. So now they are the underdogs.

After QPR have sides finally started to figure us out, or will it be a resumption of normal service? Before Tuesday I’d have banked this as a straightforward home win, but now I am slightly nervous.

Get an early goal and I think they will fold, give them hope and it could be tight.

I didn't realise how good fleck was until QPR on Tuesday. Coutts, who I thought has been our player of the season, up to now, looked lost without him. The holy trinity of Coutts , fleck and Duffy, Have to start every game for me.

Hull have lost most of their best players and their owners, manager, players and fans are all confused and bewildered.

They are pocketing all the parachute payments but I guess their manager has limited knowledge of the English game and the Championship. The owners are not popular with the fans and there's still a lot of ill will about the attempted club name change and other peripheral nonsense.

They have had a poor start to the season but the fact remains they have individual players who can win games and on their day will do so. That plus the lottery that occurs from woeful refereeing standards plus the pressure from losing our last game means we cannot count on the three points until they are signed, sealed and delivered.

Cardiff are at Bristol City and should lose but Villa have an easy game. It would be nice to keep up there tucked behind the leaders until the year end or so.

Confident we will put in a good performance especially after Tuesday and no reason we can't win but I am not expecting to win ......thinking it might be a high scoring game like back in 2006

Whatever happens, sing loud and sing proud for this team and if anyone wants to moan at the game of a misplaced pass or a breakdown of a move , remember Scunthorpe at home barely 18 months ago under Adkins and be very thankful for what our team has become !

Hoping that we bounce back in style today but the pessimistic side of me isn't so confident.

Head says we win 3-0 but I have a horrible feeling we are going to get a beating today.

I know what you mean. I have predicted a win elsewhere but I now have a funny feeling that we might come out frustrated today.

I wonder if that cruel bitch Karma is going to kick us in the nuts today, the last time anyone saw Hull play in a game anyone care about we were all cock a hoop they won one nil at Wembley in a certain game.

Wouldn't be as happy with that result today.

Hoping we'll bounce back but have a worrying feeling that we'll struggle againat the same physicality QPR employed.

Imagine it being same team as vs Leeds with just Moore in for Blackman.

There is quality in that XI of Hull. Hopefully they'll continue to under perform

Hull should be 3pts although need to far better in possession as for game & half we have been unusually poor in retain possession 2nd half of leeds & Qpr. although when fixtures came out. i expected much tougher game as didnt expect hull be this poor coming from premier league worse being the 5-0 defeat to derby & heard it could be slutsky final game if they lose today

also hull always reminds me of the last time we played them & i later with 35000 others blades became bafta nominated for my part in fa cup semi final. although employers where confused when i added it to my CV :D

I think it’s a very sensible line-up for us. Stearman perhaps isn’t considered quite ready to last the full 90 yet.

Obviously Blackman’s been punished for faking injury by being completely dropped from the squad, and Brooks has been rested for Wales yet again.

Would like to see a replay of that, but first sight following on iFollow looked like Moore could have done a little better. Coutts a little needlessly dispossessed in the build-up.

We’ve had chances too. And I expect we’ll have more.

It was bang in middle of the net from 35 yards.

Unless it swerved ridiculously it was a save he should be making.

Fucking frustrating first half. They think there was a handball in our box too.
This is fucking poor stuff
