Not really mate. When Cranie came into the side in a Champ game he smashed it. Others have had decent cameos when they came on recently, hence us being 3rd in the league. I’d rather go out first round and concentrate on the league.
You’d rather we lose a game of football! go out in the F.A Cup and get embarrassed by none Legends Barnet who all put in a shift. I would rather we go on a great cup run, if we had a squad of first team players we should be able to do both, that’s what a (first team) squad means. If we had been playing Man Utd today we would have fielded the first team, so thats disrespecting Barnet and the F.A Cup!

Stop talking crap, I post as many positive messages as negative ones

If you think the players and management shouldn't be criticised after that, you carry on

But that will be damaging to us, make no bones about it, that will damage us, just when things were looking really good

We've finally seen the fans start to get a little excited and start creating a good atmosphere and now our next game will be watched by fans who will have reverted back to their normal expecting the worse scenario
It won’t damage us - none of those players will start the next league game, and it will be forgotten.

We don’t have any depth of squad - we haven’t found that out today - Wilder knows it and doesn’t want to risk it - I’m happy enough with that decision.

It’s sad that the cup isn’t what it was, but it isn’t.

Seriously who gives a fk? Snowflakes maybe?

There is one aim and surely that does not need spelling out.

Today was the perfect opportunity to rest the first choice 11 after a gruelling festive period.

Will now be refreshed for next week.

Someone is unhappy at losing and going out of the FA Cup to a non-league side and they are snowflakes? What?

Us losing today puts a bit of the magic back into the cup overall, just not in S2.

Fuck the cup glad we’re out if it gives us a bonus fitness wise I’ll take that. Wewere never going to win it, squad players needed trying, lessons to be learnt from it.
Great chance to get us back amongst the big boys next year glad we out.
Up the Blades Fuck the deluded

Defeatist claptrap.

All this has come down from the premiership who field second string players against lower league teams because they couldn't give a toss about the cup. This has now come down to the championship who think that they can do the same but don't have that quality in depth to be able to do this.

Today proves our squad has depth but not quality. Barnet have done what we do to sides with 'stars' in them who don't pull together as a team, beaten them. Not a disaster, move on, learn from it (Wilder probably knew it already). The League is the priority. Sure we're all feeling hurt a bit deep down but not like when losing a League game.

I will have forgotten losing to Forest or Derby away by next season. I won't forget this. How many people still talk about Altrincham?

I think it will be damaging, three or four injuries and suspensions will mean a sizeable portion of the team will be made up of today's losers

We were dogshit. Doesn't matter in terms of the competition because we weren't going to win the FA Cup, but the team put out should be ashamed because they didn't give a toss.

This is a team of mostly first 18 players, Leon, Washington, Freeman, Cranie, Stearman, Lundstram have all featured recently, Freeman was first choice until a few games ago.

Maybe some blame can be placed at Wilder's feet but that team should smash Barnet. How many places below us are they? 70+?

Shite.

Looking forward to the press conference anyway, should be interesting.

Hopefully the first 11 will make up for it against QPR.

And I wouldn't mind my tenner back.

Nobody said it was, but that what happened today says a lot to me about the modern game and I've now had enough of it. It won't make a difference being one person, but I believe in football as it was, not as it is now. After going home and away for years, including this year (ST holder), I'll not be showing my support like I have done for 20 years or more (I'm 34).

The result isn't the important thing here. If we had won 1-0, I'd be saying the same thing. As soon as I saw the team, my blood boiled.
Well said Birdwell Blade! Football should be about the fans, those F.A Cup memories we all share, nothing more nothing less. I’ve been watching United for 50 years and have witnessed some magnificent moments and experienced the up’s and downs following United but I have never ever seen United put out the reserves to play an F.A Cup game. I remember going to see Rotherham play Man Utd in an F.A Cup replay at Millmoor and Man Utd played their first 11, Charlton, Best, Law etc. It was a full house, any-wonder the attendance today was under 10,000!

For all those saying they don't care, or worse that they're glad, how many times in your lifetime do you think you'll see an attempt at the cup? Every cup exit is one fewer. We've shown we can go pretty far with worse squads and from a worse league position, so there is no reason to think it is impossible from the top of the Championship - even if it's unlikely. There's no proof that a cup run has to be at the detriment of the league and anyway the paying fans deserve better than a half-arsed attempt at progressing.

Really don't give a monkeys - it's the league that bothers me but I suppose people easily get bothered

and to add, when will people realise that was a team of 11 fringe players. Not one will start against QPR.

It would have been different if it was our first choice 11 that produced that performance - it wasn't so get over it !

I'm not bothering with this site for a few days until people have calmed down, all will be fine again after the QPR game
