POTS by an absolute mile. God knows how much he'd be worth if he were 10 years younger.

Fleck , Coutts and Duffy if we had kept them all season we would have be a premiership team next season :-(

Was the difference in the second half last night involved in both goals. We look so much better going forward when he is running at the opposition. We also retain the ball from throw ins when he is on the pitch. Nine assists and two goals this season and still some people write him off. Top player and should be first name on the team sheet.

In the first half he hid, and I do mean hid, watch him when he's not in the game or not interested (don't know if this is the case), when we have the ball he'll find one of their players to place between him and the ball. In the second half he came out like a rocket, as they all did, then faded until Brooks came on. Was he trying to keep up with Brooksy's running and wanting the ball. Let's play them both from the start and see if we can get the best out of Duffy for a full game.

I await the responses.

Duffy is absolute Mustard all of our best play goes through him.

First name on team sheet for me but closely followed by:

Blackman
O’Connell
Baldock
Fleck

Who would have thought 5/11 would be so consistent and reliable?

In the first half you mean apart from the first goal when he laid it off from the throw-in (shows for pretty much all attacking throw-ins) to Baldock.... oh and when he picked it up under pressure from 3 players and danced through them and played a great ball.... and when he tried to play in Fleck in the penalty area.... shall I go on?

I find it utterly bizarre how you think he hid, when he's the one player we have that ALWAYS wants the ball.

It’s a pity we couldn’t/didn’t sign him a few years ago. He’s probably thinking the same. It’s remarkable that he’s only just found himself at a club of our level. He’s the kind of player we’ve been after for quite some time.

Makes you wonder what he's done to put previous clubs off him though, he's been around long enough. There must be another side to him although there's been no evidence of it since we've had him.

He's been shoved out wide the majority of his career hasn't he? Doesn't make best use of his abilities.

It's notable too that Brooks goals against Leeds and Burton, both very similar, both perfect passes by Duffy. They need to play together more IMO; too often they're ships passing in the night.

Just watched the Burton highlights again and just watch that ball Duffy plays to Brooks for the 2nd. Brooks doesn't even have to control it or take a touch, it just sits perfectly for him to stroke it in the corner. Great finish too I have to say.

Have a like.
I presume this is a wind-up of monumental proportions, well done.

On the basis (however small) that you actually meant it. What the fuck are you watching?

One of the Burton fans referenced Clough considering Duffy as lazy when playing for them Nigel.

I have never once seen Duffy hide, not once, even on the odd occasion when he has had a shocker. He just keeps fronting up, keeps going. Tough as old old boots in mind and body is that kid, with a dash of genius thrown in.

Couldn't agree more. Like Coutts, he is always showing for the ball, however badly he might be playing.

He has had games where he has been ineffective but I certainly can't recall any 'hiding'.
