Beginning to think that first day of the season may well be a blessing in disguise. Adkins saw what was wrong and sorted it, it gives me huge hope for the rest of the season. UTB

Still a lot of work to do. The first half showed that. Teams coming, shutting up shop and frustrating us

However, if NA strengthens next week and they are the quality we are all hoping they are, then I see us getting stronger and we will need to.
last season we wouldnt have broken them down , this time we did

although blackpool have lost plenty its mostly by the odd goal

wednesday beat them 1-0 last season
didnt hear their fans moaning

Well done today Blades.
Three more points and nice to Sharp and McNulty grab the goals...

UTB!

I reckon Swindon away next week will really test our mettle.
Banish the demons of our last visit there and that'll do a world of good. COYRAWW!

I like the way Adkins uses subs as a positive, the players he brought off weren't having particularly bad games but he saw that fresh legs in those positions could bring success and it did with Macnulty's beauty.

Strap yourselves in Blades , this could be the start of something special !! 4 wins all earned in different ways ........ UTB
Slow down duckie, long way to go yet.

Thought we were dictated by them first half, they let us play Robson style crab-style tepid football...

Second half much improved and we started attacking at pace from deeper

Looked lively up front second half but only disappointment was Che, looked poor today.

Hats off to Jose, bossed the midfield

I think we are going to get players that have up and down day, frustrating I know, let's hope the bad day are few and far between. UTB

Let's not forget our last visit to Swindon, on the basis of the individual result, was quite the improvement on our visit there in the league ;) I would really like us to stuff them but would take a point there for sure.

As a McNulty sceptic I have to give Sparky credit for an instant and decisive strike. Good goal with an assist from Billy.

Well done to JCR, Jose, Bash and the Kieran Brothers, who were excellent at full-back. Did I see David Edgar smoking a cigar and having a glass of red at one point?....

We have so much to add to this coming back from injury. Done, Flynn and Brayford would have helped seal it a bit earlier today I reckon. Hard not to be positive.

Each game as it comes though please chaps! Swindon should be an interesting one.

Yeah, it highlight that we didn't have any pace on the bench though, sparky is a decent impact player and he worked well off billy.

Think it would've been smarter to put someone like Diego on the bench to come on down the wings.

I thought we were very poor first half it was like last season all over again, a little better second half and still won easily in the end. One thing is for sure we will have harder games than Blackpool, still need another Cb and a keeper too.

Agreed :)

No doubt about it, last season that would have been a 1-1 draw or a 1 nil defeat....

No doubt about it, last season Clough would have brought McNulty on with 2 minutes left.

I don't get the bit about Blackpool 'shutting up shop'. In the first half, they played their part in pretty turgid fare and certainly weren't hanging on. Full marks to NA for the substitutions - he needed to stir things up. Was Sammons immediate substitution after 'that' miss a bit of punishment?

Hats off to Jose, bossed the midfield

Can't agree. Jose is turning into a poor man's Leon Brittan - lots of safe sideways and backwards passes but seems to have lost that speed of thought that can unlock defenses with incisive forward/through passing.

Now you know Diego likes to play in his preferred position. Stop being nasty to the lad....

Seriously, I'm not sure he has any more pace than Sparky. I've yet to see it if he has.

Baxter's completion rate on forwards passes was about 10% today.

Thing is as soon as he picked it up I was almost expecting a goal. He knows where the net is.

I also expected him to lose possession in good areas and he did that as well.
