Rich Hawley is a massiveLet's set up mini mountains, lakes and deserts around the perimeter of the pitch for Michael Palin to navigate before KO. And then replace the funereal version of GCB with something more uplifting by Richard Hawley.
Joe Elliot, Paul Heaton, Joe Cocker and Dave Berry were/are all Blades....some of the others mentioned, such as the Longpigs, are erm pigs....
'Stop feeling blue...'

If you are suggesting that the club should invest money in improving facilities, or on anything other than a centre-half (or other playing position)... you will need to get yourself a tin hat and prepare for a numerous post, invective thread..

Not that he got any free publicity for the Album he was bringing out at the time by giving the club a hard time and like the others he gave the club more bad press by trying to influence a decision that was the boards, fuck all to do with patrons.Don't see the problem with Paul Heaton quite frankly. He resigned as patron of the Community Foundation at a time when Ched Evans was still a convicted rapist in the eyes of the law (and I always believed he wasn't guilty of that particular crime for the record).
It's not as if he stopped supporting the club for fucks sake, he stepped down from a minor, largely symbolic role.
Correct.Didnt hear any apologies either from anyoneNot that he got any free publicity for the Album he was bringing out at the time by giving the club a hard time and like the others he gave the club more bad press by trying to influence a decision that was the boards, fuck all to do with patrons.
No just the music![]()
Er yes...that's what I implied.
Isn't Hawley a pig? Love his music, but ...
Rich Hawley is a massive
He said as much when I was with a massive mate who used to live near to him, we were speaking with him at "Party in the Park" when he was with the 'Longpigs'. Nice bloke though!!.
No words have ever been set to music that quite encapsulate supporting Sheffield United as these;
Don't know what I'm doing here
I'll carry on regardless
Got enough money for one more beer
I'll carry on regardless
Good as gold, but stupid as mud
He'll carry on regardless
They'll bleed his heart 'til there's no more blood
But carry on regardless
Quality alias Mr WincobankGot to be three or four years ago now. He'd been living in America - came back and we met up with him again but his health wasn't great. Still a massive shock when I learned he'd died. He played in our band (Bendy Monsters) when he quit Speedy. A good bloke was Trace.
Im going to Peterboro with a really good friend of Steve Singletons (he comes on here actually) so I can get that cleared but I would imagine hes a Blade.Apologies if already mentioned, but I dont see any reference to The Human League, I think the girls were for Hackenthorpe, no idea who the individual members supported.
ABC or Heaven 17. One of the members from H17 was off Park Hill so may have been a Blade. Lots of others.
My favourite would be Joe Cocker. I think he was a gas fitter off Hackenthorpe, not sure who who he supported.
I would guess most people from the south of Sheffield or Park Hill would be Blades. Although there was a good number of them others.

I think we need to change our playlist completely pre match. There too many songs that are just irrelevant and are just chosen out of a hat. Let's be proud of Sheffield Music and play songs that were created in Sheffield. One thing I respect Manchester United for is that there playlist was incredible when we went over there last season. Stone Roses -> Joy Division -> The Charlatans (all Manchester Bands). We could do something similar like Def Leopard -> Heaven 17 -> Pulp, followed by our traditional 'Countdown to KO'. Music has to be relevant at Football Games IMO and I liked the fact Yazz was played after the game yesterday. Let's adopt this and I think the majority of blades will be proud and satisfied! UTB

chequers at fenny stratford ?Always take as I find. Happened upon Paul Heaton in a pub in MK the day after Ched was sent down, and he came across as a massive Blade who understood the culture and up and downs of the Blades. He was as concerned as anyone that his conviction would fck up our season.
Was that on the moving shadow label?Renegade Snares by Omni Trio, the best record ever to come out of Sheffield.
Haven't got a scooby...
Never, ever play the Arctic Monkeys over the tannoy. For one they're all Porkers and secondly his voice really gets on my fucking tits.
