Don't see the problem with Paul Heaton quite frankly. He resigned as patron of the Community Foundation at a time when Ched Evans was still a convicted rapist in the eyes of the law (and I always believed he wasn't guilty of that particular crime for the record).
It's not as if he stopped supporting the club for fucks sake, he stepped down from a minor, largely symbolic role.

Not that he got any free publicity for the Album he was bringing out at the time by giving the club a hard time and like the others he gave the club more bad press by trying to influence a decision that was the boards, fuck all to do with patrons.
 
you could play eat dont hula but they were pigs...and the seaside were mainly blades..I remember taking 808 state to the lane back in the day..not really football fans but they were recording at Red Tape with a man who cannot be mentioned, can you tell who he is yet..

Lots of bands around Sheffield didn't really do football back 80s/early 90s...it wasn't TAT...
 
Though the best never seen band ever,The Briefcase disciples are blades..massive blades, I remember the benefit gig they did back in the day...never seen stage diving like it since. The guitarist was a big nosed twonk though.....

Always take as I find. Happened upon Paul Heaton in a pub in MK the day after Ched was sent down, and he came across as a massive Blade who understood the culture and up and downs of the Blades. He was as concerned as anyone that his conviction would fck up our season.

Apologies if already mentioned, but I dont see any reference to The Human League, I think the girls were for Hackenthorpe, no idea who the individual members supported.
ABC or Heaven 17. One of the members from H17 was off Park Hill so may have been a Blade. Lots of others.
My favourite would be Joe Cocker. I think he was a gas fitter off Hackenthorpe, not sure who who he supported.
I would guess most people from the south of Sheffield or Park Hill would be Blades. Although there was a good number of them others.

Im going to Peterboro with a really good friend of Steve Singletons (he comes on here actually) so I can get that cleared but I would imagine hes a Blade.

Not sure about Hackenthorpe. His dad lived in Crookes and died about 15 years ago. Joe left the money from the sale of the house to Lydgate Infant School, which I understood, was where he went as a kid.

Not sure who he supported but a great gesture all the same.

Playing Yazz after the game reminded me of the Bassett era. It was played after every home win during the two successive promotions seasons.

Heaven 17 are snortbeasts. Think they tried holding a 'save our owls' style benefit concert for them in the early 00s

Don't think Phil Oakey was interested in football. No idea about the rest of them.

Fairly sure Joe Cocker was a Blade.
