Watched the sky footage back earlier, he was so emotional at the full time interview, and he should be. What an incredible achievement, he has dragged us from the doldrums in style and placed us at the top table. I honestly think it is only just getting started too.

Just enjoying a final beer, with a nip of Buffalo Trace on the side, watching the Snooker before bed. Reflecting on how absolutely, fecking amazing the last few years have been. The nightmares that were 2012, 2007, those other play off finals, yet here we find ourselves.

Though with a proper owner with mega millions we could have employed an unheard of German manager and finished 1 division and 23 points (so far ) below us.

Even on a day like today some can come onto a forum and say that some people are just not good enough and that they think they know better (with the wisdom of hindsight).

Name me one football Chairman that's got every managerial appointment correct every time ?

It doesn't matter what happens next season, the one aftwr etc , we must keep this man and we will always be heading for better things .

dyche at Burnley, he has been with them for a good while and saw relegation but they bounced straight back and now a mid table prem team

Personally think we can do better than burnely and if we keep this man for as long as we can / until he retires ! we will become a top ten prem established team

His achievement is far greater than Bassett’s. The financial playing field was far leveller in those days, no teams coming down from the top division with parachute payments, no billionaire overseas owners. And he’s done it playing a much superior brand of football. This is not to denigrate what Bassett achieved in any way at all, it was fantastic, but CW has surpassed it.
