I’ve gone full on optimistic and voted ‘Good Move”.
But then I do try to imagine the best possible outcomes…I find it makes my life calmer and less stressful.
All for the best in the best of all possible worlds.
Or something.

The closest in my lifetime was kendal
Came in and instantly got bassets lads playing short passing football which I had never seen before

I had only watched long ball all my blades supporting life

Ive craved for those days again ever since
That first match at Ipswich was just the most incredible switch in style of football within a couple of weeks. The 4-0 at Stoke, Michel Vonk was also memorable. Did Tony Battersby score that day? I loved everything about Bassett though. The early five years were an incredible time to be a Blade.

The rumours were at the time that kendal had a rope at knee height around the training pitch and the players weren't allowed to kick the ball higher than it

Never heard that one. He certainly had us playing superbly the second half of that season. I was sure we were on for automatic promotion the next season. First match away at Reading we were pretty turgid. A frustrating season ended by the first injury time goal at Wembley.

Once went shopping with the Mrs to the then Safeway supermarket, bottom of Ecclesall Road. Putting everything into the car we heard loud rattle of bottles. Kendal walked past with a very full trolley of Scotch and red wine.

Calmer, less stressful but full of massive disappointment?

Question are you Frank the Tank who used to make fish tanks down Page Hall

Looking at the voting, it's not as close as Brexit, but it's not clear cut. Lot of unsures, which I completely understand.

I'm a happy clapper though, so I'm all in behind the new man.

"The King is dead.

By mutual agreement"

To EVERYBODY.
If you put in a vote - PLEASE put it aka VOTE in the title.
I only came back after the nightmare of the playoff final to vote on things.
Wilder is a disaster he had to go so I voted yes.
That being said CALL ME OLD FASHIONED I want to see if Selles is the answer WHEN WE PLAY !!!!

Worst appointment
equally bad - total disasters both
Danny Relegation Wilson. Half the team future Prem players and he could not get out the third so we lost them all.
Wilder return.

As for this alleged success last season.
The only success I noted at the Lane was WILDER and KNILL getting a massive payout rather than a direct kick out the door.
WE HAD four failures and shite football almost every game.
THIRD in a three horse race.
Winning the Playoffs easily and the imbecile Wilder sits back for thirty minutes despite the disasters all the previous worst ever season. Does he watch the ****ing games rather than just stand and pose to the cameras?
Possible worst ever performance to lose to a Barnsley team who had won nothing at home all season
Lost at home to relegated Cardiff.

We lost best player Bogle for peanuts who was key to our opponents success over us and best young striker Osula plus Jebbison and wasted the money on the useless CANNON

We lost promotion, £200 million is it and because of that more top players

WHAT SUCCESS for sufc?????
IT WAS A ****ING HEARTBREAKING DISASTER in the real world.

2 things for me it’s a master stroke oh crazy decision recruitment is vital the players were linked too at the moment are nothing better than we have if we sell say 2 out of the 3 best players and replace them with lower quality that would ring alarm bells

Its bullshit like this that makes me glad hes gone
Been like princess Diana's fu eral on here last few days
Absolutely fucking pathetic
Neither of us know if it is bullshit as you say. I’m thinking it could turn out well but it certainly isn’t pathetic for a blade to think otherwise, it’s an opinion. As I’ve said before, this forum is becoming more like politics, you’re either with me or against me - now that is pathetic.

Its so obviously complete bollox

He’s no better than Wilder, does not know the club, bringing in his own ideas to a squad of players that may find it a struggle to develop too
I would have kept Wilder, look at the start we make next season then make a decision.
Hope I’m wrong but a prediction I’m making is after ten games we will be mid table the boo boys will be out and a toxic atmosphere around the ground will develop ,Ruben in my opinion is not the answer , but like I said hope I’m wrong

It’s only an opinion UTB⚔️

I met Wilson at one of these little chats. He came across as a knowledgable and likeable bloke, and although I didn't want him at first because of his Wednesday connections and also, promotion with Barnsley aside, I wasn't impressed by his track record I was pleasantly surprised, and didn't think he deserved he sack when it came.

Robson though, fuck me. I knew he'd be a disaster, and he was.

Adkins? I thought it was a fantastic appointment. Shows what I know. :D
I think the majority of us thought Adkins would be a good appointment! I remember when I read that he was one of the front runners I was absolutely buzzing. Went and watched us away at Swindon with my Dad (we're in Gloucestershire) and we came away impressed, we must've caught one of our rare few good performances.

That's probably why they got rid of him. Doesn't want to change and unfortunately we need to make the harsh decisions to take the club further.
Yes, I'm sure that's why they got rid of him.

Obviously, a bunck of Yanks from Cleveland OH know a lot more about Championship football than Wilder and Knill.
