We've now scored four goals in ten different league matches under Wilder but can't seem to get that elusive fifth goal.

I was confident we would finally do it yesterday when we were 3-0 up at HT.

Blades 4-0 Port Vale
Chesterfield 1-4 Blades
Blades 4-0 Swindon
Southend 2-4 Blades
Blades 4-0 Wimbledon
Swindon 2-4 Blades

Sheffield Wednesday 2-4 Blades
Blades 4-1 Hull
Blades 4-5 Fulham

Blades 4-1 Aston Villa

We did however beat Leyton Orient 6-0 in the FA Cup in November 2016.
 



Seemed to be determined to keep it to 4 yesterday by taking the ball into the fucking corner in the last minute...

We haven't beat anyone by more than 3 goals in the Championship either.

Great chance to do that and score 5 yesterday, and against Villa of all teams.
 
There are far more pressing matters than worrying if we can score a fifth goal!

If, at the beginning of yesterday's game, the suggestion had been made that we'd beat Villa 4-1, I suspect the majority of supporters would have bitten your hand off. Add to this the performance which was magisterial and commanding, and not only would said supporters have sunk to their knees and offered up prayers of joy and celebration, they would probably have sung the team's praise solidly for the whole of the following week.

We did try and get a 5th, it was only injury time we called it a day.
 



McGoldrick shouldve scored a fifth, and his play deserved it. Good save from the keeper but you HAVE to bury them.

Also... Billy didn’t look offside. It was marginal. Maybe we DID score 5?

I paused it on TV, it looked very marginally offside.

It shouldn't take away from what was a great pass from McGoldrick. The sort of thing that indicates they'll play well together.

Mine was in the ground.It's normally 400 or 450.Yesterday 400.I also had Egan 4-1. If somebody still has their slip they can comfirm.

I love it when Wilder says 'we want to stretch our lead' in post-match interviews.

In regular parlance you know what he really means is: 'We should've smashed the fuckers' :D

I disagree, I think, if we play like we did 1st half against Villa, and we go in 3-0 up, I don't think teams are going to bother coming back out second half, for fear of us embarrassing them further.

That Port Vale game should have been about 8-0. Four goals disallowed for offside, at least 2 of them were very dubious decisions.
 



I'd be happy getting 4-0 up after 50 minutes every week and then relaxing for the remaining 40 minutes TBH
This scenario would enable us to introduce Coutts back for 10 minutes of competitive football each week until he gets up to speed.
