Incredible spending from their owner - makes Villa and Fulham a few years ago look quite conservative in comparison. It’s a risky strategy and they’ll be in trouble if they go down, although in fairness it was forced on them to a large extent due to the number of loans they relied on (same issue for us this season).

IMO Forest have bought much better than Villa and Fulham a few years ago - better players, generally young but with top flight experience and with resale value. Getting them to gel will be the issue. Can’t deny that I’d like them to fail, although sadly I think they’ll be ok.

The players they have brought in (17?) are too good as is the manager for them to be favourites for relegation.

Our players were never PL level talented, it was the system and team work that made them perform much higher than their standard.
Forest are using a totally different method to us, when we were promoted.

They are buying in random individual talent and hoping it makes a team. Reminds me of what Chansiri did when he first bought SWFC.
They collected random very good players but it their naive ambition that ultimately proved their downfall.
Also as Fulham showed 2 years ago, it's easier said than done to bring in top players and expect them to consistently perform as a team.
