THE Bolton Game.....

In view of this i wonder if CW is considering bringing EEL in for this game and pushing Bash into midfield instead of Coutts to counter their set piece threat
Bash in midfield? No chance, if coutts is injured he has Carruthers to bring in, also remember we have Hanson who comes back into defence at corners/ set pieces, I wouldnt change anything to be honest.

I don't think we'll change anything against Bolton but it's worth considering.

With the current line up at set pieces we'll have...

O'Connell / Madine
Hanson / Wheater
Wright / Beevers
Basham / Trotter

Wright is 6"0, Beevers 6"3.
Basham 6"0, Trotter 6"2.

Not ideal but I don't think it will be enough for Wilder to change the team.

and they are dealing with that with magnificent strength ON THE PITCH.
Next week is another opportunity to stamp our authority on this league.
Or add it to an endless list of "yet again United don't deliver on the BIG occaision". Like it or not just like yesterday!

Well I suppose you can't argue with their results but reports are rather mixed about how they playing. I doubt any of their recent opponents have played anything like we have either. Don't get me wrong, I expect them to be horrible next week and I would take another draw. But looking at our respective fixtures after that, I think we have a much easier (but by no means easy) run in.

I've wondered this too. I'd hate to see us change our style of play and fluidity though because I think we are good enough to beat them whilst playing football.

I think your first sentence is key.
I'd have taken 2 shit performances at Bristol and yesterday and 4 more points.
Wouldn't you?

The latter for me as ive said all season this is sheff utd. We don't know the easy way.

Bash has to be taller than 6 foot surely?

When I stood next to him a year or two ago he seemed to tower over me and I'm 5' 11"

I really really hope not...

If EEL gets anywhere near the starting XI between now and the end of the season for any other reason than an outbreak of the bubonic plague, then Wilder needs his head seeing to!

Oh without doubt, get the points on the board however they come. But, whilst that may work for a few matches, you can't keep playing badly and expect to win. Eventually it levels out and the team who consistently performs should win more.
If we keep up our current performance levels I would fancy us in the long run.

All that being said, I have followed United long enough enough to know that nowt is ever straight forward or logical. We'll make it hard work, whatever happens.

It was not a poor result to draw with the side who is second in the league and who have been top for much of the season. Sure a tad disappointing given the first half domination, but lets get it in perspective.
