Or so the song goes.

During the Hecky promotion season and since, it's been hysteria if we lose or draw on this forum.
Not saying you’re wrong but cus of social media and the amount of platforms and vlogs/fan channels etc, you liberally can’t escape from football anymore. So it becomes like this, we’ve indeed created a monster, it’s not just us though Man Utd got assassinated after they lost to spurs.

That's probably because win, lose or draw we watched utter dross throughout the match. Win, lose or draw we were outplayed by our opponents in 90% of the matches and looked poor. Square pegs in round holes, no recognisable style. It was the Hecky promotion season all over again but without Ndiaye to excite us.

Performances DO matter. You can't rely solely on luck as it will run out, and once again the luck did run out yesterday. All those saying results matter more than performances have no right to moan about yesterday. It summed up our whole season but for the play off semi finals and a handful of other games.

Too feckin right 👍🏼
Never has so much collective talent produced so much aimless turgid football which somehow garnered a lot of 1-0 wins , especially when we had Souttar commanding the defence.

Once he's gone and you've got Robbo with Anel , there was only one outcome, typified by Sunderland's equaliser ,

As Mayenda glides past an out of position Robbo , who's then too slow to catch him , allowing him the freedom of the box to smash it home.

Almost our entire season summed up in Robbo's deficiencies,

And Wilder playing his ruffian mate coz he's a "culture carrier"

Yes mate , the culture of being a low quality scrapper ,
Captaining a team who like fighting so much it's cost the club in fines but , more importantly , reputation.

They love being the alehouse club that bucks the odds.

If that's what the new owners invested in , god help them.
And us.

it is truly a terrible dirge of a chant and one that should never darken our doors again. UTB
It's a self-congratulatory monologue praising loyalty (which is fair enough) but almost recognising the lack of positive things to say about the team or it's stars or style.
I'm in the middle of the kop and join in every chant or song , but that one makes me cringe so much I couldn't possibly open my mouth to it.

The new owners have invested in a project that they can change if they so wish.
Let’s see what happens over the next 4/6 months.

I wait with bated breath but thus far it looks like the same old pub culture is carrying the day with Wilder & Robbo as the principal "culture carriers".
Manager & captain leading a squad that amasses FA sanctions for the club , like shelling peas , shrinking rather than growing our reputation.

And we have PL aspirations under respectable ownership ?

Gimme a break !

I'm fine being self congratulatory about our loyalty, specifically given our alleged humble nature and lack of expectations (unlike our deluded neighbours).

And this post, ladies and gentlemen, is a prime example of why the atmosphere is so shit at the Lane.

Win, lose or draw, the stands are regrettably full of your typical miserable, moaning, curmudgeonly, little village mentality Sheffielders. The most dour of the dour.

I’ve been starting chants and creating atmosphere since before you started putting carrots up your rear end, but this is still a dreadful chant that actually ruins the atmosphere, but still if you like it that says more about you than me. UTB

It was Burrows that was out of position and Robbo tried to cover that, but lets not let facts get in the way of your argument..

Does it ?
Based on what. ?

You make fair points , it's just a matter of opinion about one of the few chants I truly dislike

Based on there being no immediate decision to change course.
But that's only my guess.

Perhaps there's still a chance that the owners have found CW's replacement and are simply in the process of negotiating CW's exit package.
I hope so.

He really doesn't fit in with what appears to be their formula for achieving progress.
But his long new contract is a worry for me.
Why commit to him before our divisional status was known ?

If we'd gone up , did they really see him as a PL manager ?
Or was it just a means of rewarding him for the promotion , all parties knowing he'd be out of the door the moment we were promoted ?

My interest is more to do with the calibre of the owners than whether CW stays or goes.

The man who scored was a striker running across the dead centre of the box - Robbo is a LCB and in fact was closest to said striker when he received the ball but obviously not close enough nor fast enough to get a block in.
Anyway , you're entitled to your opinion.

Mine is that he should be nowhere near a Championship side challenging for promotion , however likeable his character , however much he "fights" on the team's behalf , however long his throw.
We need better , like Souttar , to command the back line , because as good as Anel is , he's not a leader , but can be excellent , alongside a leader.

Let's be honest, if Wilder brings in two or three decent centre-backs, then Robinson would not be even on the bench. In my opinion, he is past it too slow, and his long throws are straight to the opposing goalkeeper or a defender, very rarely creating a chance. Also, he is liable to get booked for being too aggressive.
