Remember it well, I was working and a Man U fan said "nothing to worry about, that team will still beat West Ham."

I was meeting the priest who would preside over my nuptials. Made him say a prayer for us. My journey to atheism was complete.
We lost 6-1 at Forest on my first wedding day (1976). I knew it was a bad omen. Next time (1996) I made sure by getting married in Australia in the middle of June.

Horrible day and must admit didn't feel confident at all all morning,
something just felt wrong !
, end of season last day was always bright and sunny but that day raining all day , oh the omen !

But what a next ten years we could have now with CW and AK !

I had to work that day. Remember sitting on front of a computer in my office in a semi fugue denial state.
I've never forgotten Liverpool fielding a team of reserves v Fulham or Champions Man Utd losing at home to Wham despite "Fergies" words

Colins fault. Jags at full back? Previous game away at Villa was abysmal but Colin didn't seem worried. After all, Wet Spam would have to win at Manure and us lose at home to Wanky Wigan. Now that could never happen..........

Never thought we'd go down that day until it became apparent manure had spinlessly decided not to try. My lasting memory that day was sitting on the kop at full time with loads of season tickets whistling pass my head towards the pitch accompanied by not so polite advice for Neil.

And it carried on the tradition of us getting relegated every 13 years since 1968.

1981, 1994, 2007.....2020??

Nah it was Phil Jagielka who relegated us remember? All part of a Machiavellian plot to engineer a move to Everton.

According to a few silly tinfoil hat wearing cunts that is....

I didn't get a clear view of Jags handball that day due to the guy in front of me wearing one of those ;)

Warnock should have been sacked as soon as we got promoted to the premier league. Dinosaur manager and a conniving charlatan to boot.

Sat in a bar in Tallin watching on telly no other Blades with me...other 5 tellys all had Man U West Ham match on ....being watched by another stag do of about 20 Hammers fans.....not a good day.

One of the worst days of my life.
For family reasons and then the football just fuckin capped it off

Brought my son for the first time to Sheffield that season ,
Chelsea at home , I'd already been to see us beat Middlesboro as I had to buy tickets for 2 games don't ask me why .
Anyroads he went as a schevchenko loving Chelsea fan but left as a fully ( and still is ) now I know what you mean dad Blade ,
if we hadn't missed that penalty against Chelsea , everything could have been so different .
