Injured/tired. At least one of them I think.

As our main runner in midfield it would make sense not to ask him to play both these 2 games, because there'll be a lot of hard work to do. I'd have him back in at Liverpool but he's looking tired enough as it is, without asking him to chase De Bruyne and Silva around first.
 
Mousset must play any game he’s fit to start, he’s our main talisman. Lunny definitely needs a game on the bench, I’m wondering if his contract has had an impact on his performances recently? Or maybe he’s just fucked? Either way, I’d play Besic in this game myself.
 
The whole point of a squad is to make changes, especially around the xmas period. The OP is spot on about lunny being dropped.
 
Decent team. Take Didzy out for a rest, we need to take ANY chance we get. Front two of Mcburnie and Moose for me.
 
Besic will be knackered after 50 mins of running around after City’s midfield so Lundstram can come on at that point.
 
I think city might field a very much changed team. The big hitters could be rested, after playing tonight.
 
I don't want to sound like I'm writing any game off but this is the most sensible choice for rotating for fitness.

I saw other day that KDB may be injured god I hope he is City are a fantastic team but they don't scare me ATM, what I will say is Liverpool do!! they shit in Leicester's own back yard good and proper yesterday.

Liverpool are pissing the league this season but strangely, every time I’ve seen them I’ve not been impressed, that is until yesterday, what a performance that was.

'Rested' not dropped. I suspect up to 3 changes, surprised there weren't more yesterday.

How many for Man City ? They have 3 on 4 yellows- Sterling, Rodri and Bernardo Silva. Very interested to see their team tonight and all those who play against a very good Wolves team will be knackered playing again in less than 48 hours.
 
Mousset will be back in for Citeh and Liverfools. Away game, space, etc etc

Due to this, we have the best chance to get a result there we could possibly wish for.
 
mousset 100% to start, cannot wait to see John Stones flapping when theyre 1:1... i think rest mcb and play didzy, mcb will be handy vs lpool
 
Surprised we've never used Robinson in the McGoldrick position. He's clearly not a main striker, but you'd have thought he'd be worth a try in the deeper role, even if just as a sub for the last 10 minutes yesterday. McBurnie/Mousset could probably work as a pairing, but Man City isn't really the place to try it out so McGoldrick has to start with Mousset, which only really leaves Besic in for Lundstram or Norwood as the other possible change.
 
This might be a bit far fetched, but I really think CWAK should pull a totally unorthodox approach to Sundays game, albeit only against Leeds last season, (Bash playing a deep midfield role) I think Pep and co will have our tactics pretty sussed and these next two games would be great to show Robinson playing a winger role, with perhaps Ravel even dropping in for a bit of something different. I think we're close to becoming the exhausted Leeds stereotype with us fielding the exact same team constantly, fatigue is surely on the cards for Lunny and a couple of others?

Man City game seems perfect for a change up to give people a rest for Liverpool on Thurs.
 
Drop McGoldrick or change the formation to fit him in behind mcb and moose. We're gonna get hammered anyway so may as well tinker 😂😂

Henderson-Jagielka-Egan-OConnell/Baldock-Basham-Freeman-Becic-Osborn / Robinson-Mousett , still, I believe all want to play these two games coming up. A good rest with the fa.cup coming up, next game West Ham 8 days after Anfield on friday 10th so CW might go with the usual.
 
Out of the 2 games, I fancy us to get something from city than I do from Liverpool. Mouss has to play against City for a counter attack, they cannot defend without laporte. I think we will get a point from city. Liverpool is a completely different proposition.
 



I'd also be tempted to throw Besic & Mousset in from the start. Besic in there to spoil, Mousset to offer threat on the counter. Lundstram & McGoldrick to be given a rest.
