Right,aslong as we have 5 attacking players on we will get away with playing him but i honestly believe we need to look at other avenues as Doyle propably won't be here next season. zablade s' team isn't a bad one although i'd play Kennedy for McEveley.And i'd swap Murpy for Murphy

My rationale: Turner deserves a chance, maybe Howard could do with being dropped for a bit. Kennedy has done really well when he has played. Midfield I've picked looks a bit dodgy but it's at least attacking and I think fans will need to see that tonight... Baxter included even though he has been poor lately as maybe he could produce a goal... Done on bench as he can't be fully fit yet - Adams and DeG at least provide options if getting desperate in 2nd half!!

Must say it's so hard to pick a team at the moment which shows how out of form Utd are....

And I can see why a few/lot don't see why he should be in the team.

Yes he can sometimes cheaply give away the ball (often he's the one winning it though), but like others have said he allows others the freedom to do their jobs and is more vocal than the majority of the team. He takes responsibility for the ugly jobs, its an afterthought for the likes of Reed, Coutts and Baxter.

I'd love to know the exact stats for this and last season based on results when he's been in and out of the team.

He made vital tackles yesterday, and has to play. Baxter does as well for me, so there's one central spot up for grabs.

What are you expecting from the stats? Doyle has propably missed only 5 games at the most in the last 2 seasons and we still find ourselves in league one so i don't know what you want from the stats. He's not solely to blame, there's a whole host of players aswell as the club in general as to why we find ourselves here.

What i will add is i don't like to see a winning team disrupted, so i agree with you on that not only Doyle should keep his place, but the whole team should, barring injuries of course.
