I'd start Tom Davies, see how long he lasts, not sure he's really suited to being a sub. Would probably be a good game to use Seriki and Brooks up the right too, but Brooks seems totally out of favour with Wilder for some reason.
Brooks not great on R , better on L

I think Souza will be out of the squad with a groin injury. No way Brewster or Moore start, so for me…

Cooper
Gilchrist Souttar JLT Burrows
Peck Hamer
JRS O’Hare Brooks
Campbell

Peck in the Souza role as CDM. Hamer replacing Blaster
I still think he will go with the above, but given he likes to mix things up occasionally, I wouldn't be completely surprised by...

Cooper
Seriki Gilchrist JLT Burrows
Peck Hamer
JRS O’Hare Brooks
Campbell

How would you know that , Mr Know it all?
Just my opinion from watching him.
He seems more capable on the L.
The poster next but one to me also has him on the L in his diagram.

If you disagree , say so - this is a place for exchanging opinions.

Not for childish name-calling.

Again , feel free to disagree.

What made you think his best position is on the left, then?

No way will Souttar not be playing-

Gonna have to rest at some point, IMO. I've said it before on here, he hasn't played more than 20 club games in a season since 2020/21 and he was really off on Saturday
Probably does - but needs Anel back before thinking Souttar needs to rest. On Saturday wind was howling around that stadium - made 2 errors of judgement re flight of crosses- more than easy to do, especially when you are a touch jet lagged- I see him playing tonight and being back to norm - which so far is = player of the season with Vini.

Hope you're right. Cheers to that

Didn’t notice that, but sounds like he might have done.
Watched the soccer Saturday and I heard it mentioned that he was limping off at half time.

Edit: I think it was Lee Hendrie in the studio who mentioned it.

What made you think his best position is on the left, then?
As I said , having seen him play on both sides , he just looks more comfortable on the L , favouring his stronger foot , where he's usually played in the past. Imo he carries , crosses & tackles more effectively on the L.
In contrast to JRS , who I believe is slightly stronger on his L , but is virtually two-footed , as shown by his brilliant first time cross from the R for the first goal on Saturday.
Followed by a quality strike with his L for the second goal.

When Brooks comes on to replace JRS (which often happened but not recently) my preference would be for him to go on the L
and switch Hamer/ohare across to the R.

Imo , JRS is superb - but I really like Brooks and he is our player so I want him to get minutes - I had hoped he would start tonight , but if we are comfortable I hope he gets the second half.

Paid close attention to Brooks when he came on tonight - I really want him to do well coz he's our only true winger apart from JRS who we'll lose in January or May.
Yet again he was on the R wing but I noticed he barely touched the ball with his R foot - he's much more L footed than JRS.
This hampers his play and he was not very effective.
Neither Hamer nor O'Hare are really LWs , so when Brooks comes on I would prefer to see him on LW and swap either Hamer or O'Hare to RW.
I think that would make the best use of both of them.

So we have failed to score 3 in any game this season, they have only lost by more than 1 goal away from home once in their recent games and that's against one of the teams joint top, they have only conceded 3 once, we have a fair few injuries including possibly 2 of our most influential players and potentially 3 strikers/forwards injured and yet you have a feeling we will get 3+, im not saying we wont but I'd like to see your logic
Just saying 😂

Yeah this 3 game week is going to be much tougher than our last one.
Not just in terms of the teams but with our captain out for the season, Moore still not fit, Souza, JRS, Hamer and Campbell all having knocks it would be Wednesday/Leeds-esque to be expecting a walk in the park against Oxford.
😉

Just saying 😂
Haha yes you were right , they were awful though which surprised me I had a feeling they would be more like Rotherham were a couple of years ago, tough to play against and hard to beat but they were so easy to play through

We split their midfield quite easily and at will. Think they've got a few injuries as well though.

Apart from a couple of shots that didn't really bother Cooper, we were never under threat. It should have been 5-0.

I'd now be happy with a draw on Friday night, but a scrappy 1-0 would be awesome 👌

What's the wink for?
If we'd have gone in expecting a walk in the park we might have struggled.
Wilder will have hammered into them that tonight was worth the same amount of points as Friday is, and that we can't take anyone lightly.
Plus, our big hitters weren't missing like we feared
