Time to freshen up a little. I'd go with:

Blackman (if fit)

Jack
Stearman
Leonard

Baldock
Lafferty
Fleck
Evans
Holmes

Billy
Clarke

Holmes is a cert for me with changes at lwb and crb. I'd like to see duffy come on for the last 30 mins to replace Holmes. Billy to be given a start and the Don to come on unless Brooks or Ched are fit and available.

Very winnable game if we can up tge pace of the game and get some friggin early crosses in.

Last night was a one off - it won't happen again this season.

How would you line up?

+ Duffy should start.

Duffy has to start, need to start creating and he’s the one player we have that can do that!
Disappointed he hasn’t figured in past few games!

Duffy has been very quiet of late and the rest may have done him some good. I agree he should play some part but Holmes is equally as creative.

Our strikers have been devoid of decent service and that needs to change.

We simply have to dominate Leeds from the off. The longer it remains goalless, the more confidence they'll get.

Out of form players dropped, with the exception of Clarke who I would give one more chance to, and Duffy and Sharp back in

He's been quiet because he hasn't been playing. Other than that he was our best and most potent midfielder when he has played.

I'd personally like to drop Stevens but is Lafferty any better? I constantly complained about him when he started.
The other problem is up top, no so much the gold but the pressing and holding the ball up there.
My biggest criticism with Billy is that he can't do those things as well as Clarke and Donaldson but it seems he can certainly do it as good if not better than Wilson.

I can't wait to see Brooks play off Clarke or Donaldon again but in the mean time maybe play Holmes off a central striker and bring Duffy back into his creative role?

The lack of impotus amongst our strike force at present, Duffys form this season and Holmes performance yesterday leads me to think that we may go with a front free of

Duffy Sharp Holmes

Recall last season when Sharp got dropped he came back a man possessed

I thought Lafferty looked good against Preston, and forced a sharp save 2nd half. I'd give Enda a rest personally, i think he needs one.

If Wilder thinks Duffy needs a rest , then isn't it about time to rest Bash and Stevens? Lenny can fill in for Bash and Lafferty for Stevens, although i don't see it happening as Chris seems to have his favourites.

I think some of the stick Lafferty gets is because he isn’t a flying wingback, so doesn’t quite fit in with our system...what he is though is a very solid left back at this level.

I think Edna will start against Leeds mind.

Lafferty has to start for me but we'll regret not signing another LWB.

I didn't realise Cardiff had signed Armand Traore until yesterday. If Forest were letting him go then why didn't we go for him?

Because we aren’t looking at players above League one.

I could see us playing one up top (Clarke or Donaldson) and maybe Carruthers getting a game at some point, I think CW wants to see some energy in midfield and last night only Holmes offered it, the rest were slow and ponderous.
I just hope Jamal is fit enough to play.

- Bash & Stevens need dropping.

- Stearman is playing well but his introduction to the first team has coincided with a drop in form with JOC and Bash. So I would reintroduce Wright and play Leonard/Stearman either side of him.

- JOC would flourish more playing LWB imo.

- Holmes had a good debut but Duffy shows more for the ball. I'd be tempted to begin with Duff and bring in Holmes off the bench.

- Wilson hasn't done anything offensively wrong and would benefit from game time but Clarke and Donaldson are the best of what we have got at this time.

Eastwood
Baldock Leonard Wright Stearman JOC
Duffy Evans Fleck
Clarke Donaldson

SUBS:

Wilson, Sharp, Holmes, Lundstram, Basham, Stevens, Blackman

I meant when he was playing he wasn't at his best and needed a rest. Let's see whag he can do now because on his day tbere is nobody bettet at what he does except pethaps Holmes.

This is a concern going forward.

If we don't adjust to the financial level of the Championship we're relying on miracles we can't expect Wilder to perform every season.

Wages will only go up and promotion challenges aren't sustainable when you can't even afford middle of the road Championship players.

Carruthers? SAMIR FUCKING CARRUTHERS??. Barring injuries I doubt he'll even make the bench for the rest of the season. He barely got in the side when we had three less midfielders, all of whom are much better than him.

Even so that's better than Lupa's idea of playing with 10 men and only having 4 subs.

Personally I thought Evans was very poor at closing down yesterday and would maybe play Lundstram or Leonard instead. Duffy in for Holmes, Sharp in for Wilson, Lafferty in for Stevens.

Basham deserves dropping far more than Holmes who was alright, but there's no obvious Bash replacement other than the bizarre idea that the midfielder we've wanted for two seasons can play in defence instead.

I was making all these points last night and got a slagging from the usual clappers.
