I’ve been wanting one for years but always wanted something different and that is. Want one for my upper arm though so that probably wouldn’t look right.

It would be my first tattoo.

No.
The dark blades you already have would be tricky to cover over randomly like in the new pic. They need incorporating in the new one. Maybe extend them a bit or slightly different outline.
Do some searching in a cover up specialist. Worth travelling to get a good one, not just somebody local. You would be able to get a really good looking new one over it.
