While I’m not disagreeing as such, I’m going to make the point that this owner group have been in place since January. 8 months.
They arrived having allegedly had advice on transfers, and apparently knew enough about football to make the decision to sack Wilder and his coaching team and replace with Selles, who they considered an excellent coach able to transform the system and style of play.
So begs the question, with such great insight, why haven’t they managed to repair the “structures” you mention? 8 months not enough time to do that?
After all, they were clear how the transfer model would be AI, so could it be a case they adopted a completely flawed model which has exposed their initial poor decision to sack a manager they gave a 3 year deal to 4 months earlier?
Another point, perhaps those failures also apply to their selection of manager to lead these changes- he’s no record of having done that before.
So for me they really have to look at what Selles is doing on a daily basis and explain how he’s going to make it work, and if they don’t know what they’re looking at or understand Selles word salad (which recent decision suggests is the case) then for Christ sake get somebody in who does…and quick.
Because all I am seeing at the minute is a split owners group, undecided on what’s best, who made a knee jerk decision to sack then appoint a manager because he was available for nowt.
