Out? on transfer deadline day?Where’ve you been ?
It's not a case of being unable to meet qpr asking price it's more of not being willing to pay over the odds for somebody nearing end of contract. They're must a known Millwall wanted big money for him in first place, if we couldn't meet Qpr's asking price utd stood f*** hall chance getting the Millwall lad if report is true
I'll have know, I was up fucking ladder yesterday for 3 bastard hours fixing the roof on the Pergoda that the wind had started to get hold of last week. Reight ballache unscrewing rusted fucking screws with a pair of mole grips cos the previous owner had rounded em off...cunts.Don’t you start with feckin Twixx jibes
Exactly thisOut? on transfer deadline day?
It gets rushed. Normally medical takes up most of the time during negs. Less thorough medical if its shorter term loans helps. Can someone please explain something to me because I'm THICK...
Ordinarily when we sign someone it takes DAYS from having a bid accepted by the selling club to sorting out the medical and personal terms and completing the deal. We're apparently still putting bids in for players, so how can we hope to complete all the necessary parts of the deal in just a few hours?
Because the window closes tonightCan someone please explain something to me because I'm THICK...

"The financials" is the whole reason the selling club and the player are doing it. For us as a buying club, there's a limit to what he's worth. It gets rushed. Normally medical takes up most of the time during negs. Less thorough medical if its shorter term loans helps.
All parties HAVE to stop pissing around with the brinkmanship of negotiating the financials and just agree to get it done and dusted !!

Which is why all 3 parties have to find and agree on somewhere in the middle. Further complicated if an agent is acting like a see you next Tuesday.."The financials" is the whole reason the selling club and the player are doing it. For us as a buying club, there's a limit to what he's worth.
Mainly because we are particularly tight and refuse to pay the initial asking price in the hope that the eventual deal will be closer to our opening offer. That whole process can take days at the start of a transfer window as the selling club will hold out for a greater fee but with the window soon slamming shut (TM) their room for manoeuvre is limited. Can someone please explain something to me because I'm THICK...

I’d be in favour of transfers in closed season to stop the gerrymandering that goes on between rival promotion contenders.Lukewarm take: Even though we've had a great window so far, I'm still in favour of binning them off and either going back to doing business all year round or make it so players can only move during the close season.
Yeah, but point being none of them have to back down. If we don't match what the player, or selling club want, then they may not back down. Just won't bother. Likewise if it's too high, we won't.Which is why all 3 parties have to find and agree on somewhere in the middle. Further complicated if an agent is acting like a see you next Tuesday..
The “power” on which party has to back down the most is very complex !!

He's not a right backOh how I wish we had him last night. Big dominant right back who would help us on balls into the box and defend corners.
Please just sign him in the summer at all costs.
This is EXACTLY where our Jan budget should have gone.
Assume we go up.
Is JT getting a PL shirt next season ?
Is TC ??
See where I’m going ??????

He was. And in a strong (ish) Tottenham side he didn’t look much out of place. If he is all that then a prem league club would have snapped him up and paid the extra and Millwall would have sold
If we get up then the reality is we were going to have to spend big and bring in 8 or 9 players or even more
Do I think this guy works out better in prem than Robbo, probably yes
But if him alone was such a big factor to keep us up next year then he already would be in prem league
Agree completely. Cannon is such a bizarre signing considering our issues at the back.He was. And in a strong (ish) Tottenham side he didn’t look much out of place.
Club brings in multi million pound CBs and young lad sees his pathway blocked.
Moves down a division. Its a well worn road in the Billion pound industry that is the PL.
Do you believe we would be better off points wise if Big Harry had not been injured ?
Not replacing him adequately may be Wilders biggest mistake this year that could cost us.
TC has had a poor (very poor actually) start to his career here. I am informed that his signing was driven by the new boards desire to be seen to “back their manager” rather than Wilder having him as a top top transfer target at that price point.
It already looks like several million pounds too much.
As I’ve said, a £10m CB should have been a MUCH greater priority than a £10m CF. That’s my opinion.

Cannon is in January 2025 what Rhian Brewster was in September 2020. The wrong player solving the wrong problem at the wrong price point.Agree completely. Cannon is such a bizarre signing considering our issues at the back.
Eh?Signing Cannon and not signing a 1st team CB in January is why Wilder has to go at the end of the season
Eh?
He signed Holding.
Cannon plays up front.
