Tanganga

If we were going to spend silly money on any player this window there were many better options than Cannon and Tanganga is one of them. It would be quite galling to spend big on him though, given he was free in the summer

If we spend big on TWO players that really will be excessive. I could understand if we were strong favourites and just needed to make sure, but as it is, it's a close 4 horse race with the other 2 favourites at least as likely as us to get top 2, probably more so. So spending really big this window would be a big gamble, rather than an expensive insurance policy

This would be a brilliant signing.
Per others, it would have been the best utilisation of funds.

I doubt the link is legit. Seems like Danny Hall doing some lifting for the clubs negotiations.

June 2025 😳

They only signed him permanently from Spurs last summer.

Would still cost a fair bit but would arguably go down as one of the best signings of the window.
He signed last summer for 2 years + 1 year option, so effectively he's contracted til June 2027

Ah fair enough, thought it was too good to be true on that website 😂

That being said, if Milwall sell him in the summer + the cash from the Esse deal, they could have some serious money to spend in the summer.

Would love it to be true, but I can't see a player like that be plan B. If we were really interested, he'd be at the top of the list. Just doesn't seem like the type of player you buy as consolation.
I'd love to be wrong here though.

If it is correct Millwall could get a few million in and save on the wages for a player who could be off in the summer anyhow.

A ‘long term contract’ till June 2025 apparently… 🤣

Millwall have signed Japhet Tanganga from Tottenham Hotspur on a permanent transfer.
The 25-year-old made 18 appearances on loan at The Den last season as the Lions finished 13th in the Championship.
Tanganga has signed a "long-term" deal after his Tottenham contract expired this summer.

How is there no one asking questions about his career and injury record? Davies was written off as a crock before he even signed yet there are only 9 months difference in age between Tanganga and Davies and yet Davies has over 100 more games to his name.

Tanganga turns 26 next month and last season was his best season re appearances when he managed 18. this season he's already on 15 so he should eclipse that but still its an incredibly poor record

still wouldnt suprise me if we signed dunne and darling were not exactly overun with centre backs if we could get these 2 for say 5m combined it would be excellent business

Because it’s not the ones questioning Davies who are replying ?

Could quite well be the case, it is more a point of highlighting how no one is questioning how a soon to be 26 year old has only managed 80-odd career appearances

Oh it’ll come once we’re seriously linked, if we’re seriously linked.

CaptainMorgans mentioned something about a low release clause in the summer but I’ve seen nothing like to support it though.

To be honest Flatulent_Bob , it's something Millwall fans are saying on Twitter.
Not credible, hence I only shared on Shoutbox as it could well be bollocks. I didn't want evidence of me saying it : D

Not sure if Danny Hall counts as "seriously linked," but he does seem to have more of a line into the club these days.
Would be shocked (& very pleased) if it's real though.

Sorry mate I didn’t for a minute consider that.
Deleted it so if you remove it from your quote it’ll be gone. You’ve still got 10 minutes until lock out. 👍

Nah, it's no bother mate.

I wouldn't be surprised if it is true.

Millwall got him on a free and he had quite a good reputation at at Spurs not so long ago (pre injuries), so I wouldn't be surprised if he did get a clause like that inserted on the basis he might rediscover form / fitness.
Would be a deal that worked for all parties.

Could well be idle speculation though.

Canon wank ,Diaz wank, canon spins turns plays in diaz scores gooal ..wank goal lol

I think you need to look at why he’s only on that amount of games. He did have injury problems when younger and aggressive issues whilst at spurs. They also didn’t send him out on loan wasting a few years not playing and played most of his games under conte. He made a move to Millwall to play games when he had options to go and sit on another bench. He’s calmer and better got the experience.

We actually signed davies after he hadn’t played for a long long time.

Tanganga is a mainstay and playing very well right now.
