Tanganga

More than once last night Jack Robinson and Tanganga had tussles whenever Millwall had a corner or a free kick and both were spoken to by the ref. Peck got involved too near the end and wound Tanganga up. If Tanganga signs for us in the summer will we see a photo of him and Robinson shaking hands at Shirecliffe like when there was no love lost between Denis Law and Ian Ure at the Man U v Arsenal match in 1967 but they shook hands at the Cliff training ground when Ure moved to Man U in Summer 1969?

My first thought too Pete...

Is it just me who thought he was nothing special? Managed to get free on a couple of corners, but I didn't think he was particularly impressive. Just a reasonable defender in a mid-table Championship side. Our below average performance helped to make him look better too.
Below average performance? Wow your expectations are high. Most of the game they couldn't get the ball off our ball players.

I thought it was a solid away win at a difficult place.

He was very good and excellent championship defender. In the Premier League you have to be able to handle the ball would be interesting to see how he would cope. But considering he survived a while at a side like Tottenham he must be calm on the ball.

I’m with you, while watching the game he didn’t jump out at me but then again I wasn’t watching him closely and tbh hadn’t even heard of him before. He looked ok as did a few of the Millwall players. But after the game reading comments it’s like I missed a masterclass in defending? I saw one poster on Twitter say it was the best individual performance by any player against United!! really? He was that good and I totally missed it?

Or is it a case of he was decent enough but because he was at Spurs folk are exaggerating his performance a little.

He wasn't outstanding the other night but has been all season
He's quick, strong and decent in the air and has come along with regular football
Think Millwall will struggle to keep hold of him

He might’ve been their most consistent threat in an attacking sense and for a CB that’s not to be sniffed at.

Ah, the good old "had a good game against us" once. It's just a shame that Jake Cooper didn't play as we could have got a brace of Millwall bumps

If the owners have the dough and Wilder wants him, get him.
Easily top 5 CB's in the division.

Should be top of our shopping list for CB easily one of the best and wasted at Millwall

I’m not sure we would struggle against wolves interest I suppose you’ve got to weigh up what’s more likely. Us being promoted or wolves being relegated?

I reckon Leicester thought the same. Their next 6 games are ridiculous, they could be well in the relegation zone after that run.

Forest
Newcastle
Chelsea
Arsenal
Villa
Liverpool

I've never thought this one is likely even with the takeover. He's only recently signed there and Millwall will want big money to sell a prized asset half way through his first season. This is a player we could realistically get if we get promoted.

100% could quite easily hold out for 10+ million if a few clubs are interested

No chance would be my thoughts. If we get promoted it's a different matter. We've just dpe t ten million on Cannon too.

We’re a buying club 💰💰💰💲💲💲

Again, but who’s got the purse?

Defo should be our #1 CB target. PL player.

Not sure how much other interest there could be (I’m assuming significant) which is why we should be all over this.

Sadly, we won’t be !!!!

The premier league interest on him from the start of the window from Wolves seems to have gone quiet.

He’d be a great addition with a good balance of aggression and quality.

If we did sell One for a large fee, he’d be the kind of player I’d like to see us try for over Dunne. If we’ve got to lose a young talent for a big fee, you’d like to see it invested in someone who instantly comes in and improves the 11.

I found it hard to believe at time I read it but sure I saw someone say he was on 30k a week. For what it's worth he would be my first choice but imagine it's one for the summer if promoted.

As we're into the last few days of the window where Millwall may find it difficult to find a replacement in time, could we offer Robinson as part of the deal perhaps? I know Robbo won't have much if any transfer value and also not a direct replacement in terms of talent either but he's a hard worker and would be solid enough for a club like Millwall for the second half of the season at least until they can find a permanent replacement in the summer window.
