Used to be good when Tom Watt did the drivetime show.

I'm in the minority probably but I used to love listening to Mike parry .when he was on top form he would come out with arguments for having ejector seats and wing mirrors on horses in the grand national and spittoons around football pitches and wet wipe dispensers attached to refs during footy matches.amazing how many people rang in thinking he was being serious though!

I remember him advocating giant perspex screens around the fairways of golf tournaments to save tiger woods from assassination attempts and another time predicting that man will evolve to be able to run the 100 meters in one secondI like Mike Parry too....some of the daft stuff he comes out is hilarious. He plays the class fool and he’s great at it,
He often mis pronounces words (does it deliberately) and tries out different accents. So when he’s talking to a Geordie he’ll chat back in a Newcastle accent.
He’ll ask questions like “should extra points be awarded based on a clubs attendances” or
“should every PL and EFL club be forced to be made up a team of 8 men and 3 women“ or
”should managers of every club be forced to play 15 minutes of every match....like playing a joker”....then he’ll mention the entertainment value of watching Roy Hodgdon or Neil Warnock running around on the pitch ha ha.
He’ll come up with strong and imaginative arguments why his suggestions should happen and he’ll encourage people to call the show.
Must admit the best football shows (with the exception of Jim White) are generally hosted by people who have never kicked a ball for a living.I didn’t like them at first because they are very London centric and come across as arrogant and pompous.
Andy Jacobs is a Chelsea fan and he’s often saying stuff like “teams that come to Stamford Bridge to defend should be banned”
He says it ruins the spectacle and he wants to see both sides playing open attacking football.
He would say that when his team have one of the best forward lines in the league.
However I’ve grown to like them both now.....so agree they are pro the best show.
Paul Hawkbee, the very witty Spurs fan is particularly knowledgeable and appreciative/ respectful of lower league teams.
I’ve also grown to like Simon Jordan‘s input. He’s doesn’t sugar coat anything and tells it how it is.
His critisism against “black lives matter” was a loan voice several months ago when everyone else was scoring browny points.
Jordan articulates himself really well....going into areas when someone might scream “racist” at him but he explains the negatives of BLM really well.
Jim White is just a 2 face bull shitter....he likes to be everyone’s friend....good at his job though.
Yeah him and Mike Graham have had a bitter fall out. But they both now have different shows over on TalkRADIO.I remember him advocating giant perspex screens around the fairways of golf tournaments to save tiger woods from assassination attempts and another time predicting that man will evolve to be able to run the 100 meters in one second
He is OK in small measures but anymore than that is like violence on the brain ,I used to work nights and getting up and listening to him and Mike graham arguing at 2_3 a.m was a brutal assault on the senses buy I used to.use it to wake Me up on the drive in
What did they fall out about ?Yeah him and Mike Graham have had a bitter fall out. But they both now have different shows over on TalkRADIO.
MG doesn’t hold back when asked about his former friend. But is reluctant to discuss why. What did they fall out about ?
They used to pretty hostile with each other anyway but did tours and stuff together so I assumed it was all a show

'Accepting relegation': Talksport's Adrian Durham has his say on Sheffield United's hopes
Never short on an opinion, Talksport pundit Adrian Durham has said Sheffield United are accepting relegation by sticking with Chris Wilder.www.sheffieldunited.news
Old Durham is loving this I bet.
He’s a bit behind the curve on that one isn’t he?Are Sheffield United falling apart ? Motor mouth Adrian Durham discuses us falling apart because Lundstrop wants out 17:30
I didn’t read it. I’m sure it’s depressingly accurate.I can't really disagree with what Durham has said to be honest.
And if we’d have sacked Wilder he’d be saying we should have shown him loyalty and haven’t we learned from the past how sacking managers isn’t always the solution before quoting how many managers we’ve had since Warnock.![]()

Our coverage of sport is incredibly low brow in general playing to the lowest common denominator at all times. Punditry and sports coverage is general used as a way of providing jobs for the boys and then talk sport really is the bottom rung. And if we’d have sacked Wilder he’d be saying we should have shown him loyalty and haven’t we learned from the past how sacking managers isn’t always the solution before quoting how many managers we’ve had since Warnock.
I’m sick of cunts like him making their living from winding people up. Wankers like him are what’s fucking wrong with the world, forever pointing their fingers at people who try to achieve things whilst sat on their fat arses criticising, the fucking bullied at school gobshite prick.
Nailed it there mate ,he's a motor mouthed knob headAnd if we’d have sacked Wilder he’d be saying we should have shown him loyalty and haven’t we learned from the past how sacking managers isn’t always the solution before quoting how many managers we’ve had since Warnock.

It’s a money making exercise. During peak times, like Durham’s show, adverts are about every ten minutes. He doesn’t even do much, he just insults a club and waits for their most stupid inarticulate fans to phone in and rant at him and then cut them off. It really is the worst kind of “journalism”. I wonder if this was truly his ambition when he started his career. I wonder if these young matchday reporters think “I can’t wait to be a shock jock” rather than wanting to be the next Henry Winter or Eamonn Dunphy. Our coverage of sport is incredibly low brow in general playing to the lowest common denominator at all times. I’d agree it is all performative money making nonsense. It probably quite a kick to do though I’d imagine it triggers quite a narcissistic god complex your opinion is right always you can pick your battles and just cut off those who disagree using the mechanics of the show to anger your opponent and then hang up on them as an irrational caller. I agree there’s only so many times you can listen to the same derivative takes “Sheffield United are bad” “worst start since x” the thing is it is a legitimate talking point. The problem with this sort of thing is there’s no depth to the discussion they don’t address topics backed up by stats such as pass completion, distance run, tackles made, chances converted, headers won so they can’t draw meaningful conclusions about what’s different between this year and last. It’s a money making exercise. And I’ve listened to plenty of his shows, I work from home and pre-lockdown I listened most days. When the football stopped I stopped listening and I’ve just not bothered since. I’d rather stare at my wall than listen to that shite
Danny Kelly does some decent shows in the evening tbf, or did, I’ve become quite bored of people talking about football, I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s just not that interesting. Us being crap probably doesn’t help, I know we’re shit and I don’t want to hear Durham whining about it or Jim White shouting about it, even Simon Jordan has got to the point where he’s got little to say about sport that he’s not said already.
You on about talksport or shoutbox ?And if we’d have sacked Wilder he’d be saying we should have shown him loyalty and haven’t we learned from the past how sacking managers isn’t always the solution before quoting how many managers we’ve had since Warnock.
