If progress is made annually at board level and he is fully backed, Wilder would want to take us as far as possible. Steady progress will keep him here.

Chris Wilder will be Sheffield United manager for at least a decade. And will leave when he feels he can no longer help us progress. He won't be pushed at any point and he will establish us as a PL team.

Think Wenger but without the delusion.

Sharp will join the coaching staff, Knill will take a management job at some point Sharp will become Wilders Assistant and be the man to succeed him.

That's my 10 year prediction. Feel free to remind me of this when we are 3rd bottom in March and he's sacked.

I genuinely believe what I've written here by the way. We have the hottest management prospect in the country and he's as much a blade as me and you when people slate players/managers for jumping ship for money I always think well I would do same I have no allegiances to this club and it's just a job at the end of the day. I'd do exactly the same if some approached me and offered to increase my wages.

But in this instance he does have a allegiance to us. He is one of us.

Football is the stand alone business where employees earn more than the Management and I really can't see anyone outside of the "Big 6" offering him wages we couldn't match.

Plus he's the type of bloke that if offered a pay rise would decline if the surplus could be added to the playing budget.

Suppose in a round about way I'm saying have a good summer safe in the knowledge no one can take our manager or leading scorer/captain from us.

Think everybody needs 2 calm down a bit.wilder going nowhere.hes a blade & hes a blade.UTB.

Erm, bigger budget, better squad, bigger wages, better chance of promotion.

Basically the same reasons he left newly promoted League One Northampton for another League One club.
I think you'll find Northampton had a smaller budget, worse squad, little to no chance of promotion. I think that's why the Oxford fans were so annoyed.

Chris Wilder will stay and take us to premiership within two years. That's my prediction and in two years time I'll bump this thread :-)
