Seriously, at the time it was the sensible thing to do, we are not a club who can keep all their best assets whilst buying the players we need to progress. Was I disappointed at the time? Yes of course, but I just don't see why a nervous draw in the promotion run in is the time to bring it up again. It is done & we move on.

If we kept Brooks and signed who we did we'd already be promoted.

Although I understand that scenario would have been beyond the imaginations of anybody at Sheffield United.

And it’s 100% the Brooks Money that signed Egan and Norwood is it..? I believe statements from the club said that money was untouched still come December?

Makes me laugh, people say we needed the Brooks money to do our business to defend the sale. Then a lot of the same people were saying we hadn’t touched it when defending the owners over lack of investment. Which is it?

The thing is who do we sell to balance the books his summer and will we keep Wilder after we do sell our best players ?

My guess is that we’ll sell O’Connell for good money this Summer. Probably replace him with Jake Cooper using approx 60% of the fee we receive for JOC.

I think we’ll be ok again next season provided we stick with Wilder. He knows what he’s doing.

To be fair he wanted to go, so didn’t have much choice. And the fact that he only played about 10 games last season meant we couldn’t demand the money that he was actually worth

At least he has something to say. Not bluster about a football decision that was made by our manager in the then interests of the club. FFS, he let Aaron Ramsdale (England international) go for a mere million!!!!!!!!!! Where is he now? Adams went under Wilder, looking good now, but he was a selfish lazy and greedy tosser who dissed our club and was a waster. May I also remind you of the absolutely disgraceful decisions to get rid of fan favourite Ched (he'll rip this league a new one)(bad penny) Evans and Mr (best finisher in't league) Lollipop. At least we got some money to improve the defence from Brooks. FFS, its not a computer game. Good player that he is Brooks had to go for himself and the club.
