Which proves Hecky is tactically clueless.
It was a joke mate. Forza Hecky.46 points from 25 games works out at 1.84 points per game - or 84 over a full season.
That’s 5 less points than we got under Wilders premier league promotion season. It’s a decent effort & far from ‘proves’ that Heckingbottom is clueless.
Haha...whoosh! Up the 'bottom! It was a joke mate. Forza Hecky.
True and a few less weeks of the disastrous Slav era would see us already in the playoffs at least.Fully fit team and we would be already promoted.
Hecky's done okay, much better than I thought he would, not because of him particularly but considering the shyte that had been going on leading up to Slav leaving.
Still can't help but think he's been given the job because he won't make waves and will just get on with it, which is very Kevin Blackwell, Dave Bassett and Danny Wilson of him, and well, pretty much everybody else that has the job for longer than six months and hasn't walked out before that.
And Warnock and Wilder lasted longer than 6 months and certainly made a wave or twoDave Bassett not one for making waves ?![]()

PH's points per game is 1.84 - that would've given us 80.96 after 44 games and put us in 2nd in the table...2pts in front of Bournemouth (who'd have a game in hand) and 6pts behind Fulham on 87pts.With Heckingbottom (or Wilder) there from the start of the season instead of Slav, and even just an average injury list, we'd have been going back up automatically wouldn't we?
I'm a fan of PH and have backed him since his appointment. However I can understand why fans have been perplexed by some of the recent team lineups (even with the injury issues) and substitutions/tactical changes (ineffectual or conservative in approach).1.84 points per game is a brilliant return. I don’t understand the negativity towards PH. We’ve been shafted by the postponements around the festive season and a subsequent plethora of injuries. My major gripe would be that we are overplaying in the final third. Sometimes in this division an agricultural long ball that keeps turning the defenders reaps its rewards. As soon as we went route one out of desperation against Reading we scored almost immediately.
New manager change seems to have done wonders for WBA, they’ve already announced he is staying according to local TV in the midlands last week.

Because you can't get promoted when you're already in the PremIf a new manager means a win, why dont we appoint a new one every match next season, we'll be promoted by pancake day.
I s'pose it shows it's about right then really doesn't it- over a full season it averages out about fair. If we get in the playoffs we deserve it, if we don't, we don't.Below shows how the table would look if only results since the appointment of PH were included:

I think it's mildly interesting that the top four teams are the current play-off teams and in the same order.
